Convert Excel XLS file to SWF file and crop the margins

We are having a small issue when converting a large XLS to SWF.

We are finding that there is a lot of white space in the right hand area of the SWF even though there is nothing but empty cells. We can tell this affects the SWF when we load it into Flex since it shows the actual width.

Can you advise how we can stop this happening. I have attached the XLS and SWF.

I am using this bat file:

doc2any.exe example.xls out_3_example.xls.swf

I have tried following command line just now,

doc2any.exe D:\temp4\example.xls D:\temp4\example.xls.swf

it can create a SWF file in attachment, everything is fine in this SWF file.

I'm using MS Office 2007 + XPS&PDF SaveAs addon, what version of MS Office are you using?

This version is quite different, although I agree the whitespace is gone. In your example it appears that the chart is split into pages/sheets and it cycles through them in the swf. We very specifically need it to come out how it does in my example - all in one big swf. Is this controllable or something that changes with the versions of Office. We need to understand this.

I have Office 2003

If you wish create one big SWF file, these hasn't an option to crop the margins from SWF file now, however, we will try to add this function into the next version of doc to any Converter product.

we need to understand why the version I made is different from yours. Why does it work how we want in Office 2003 and not Office 2007?
=====================================
With office 2003, doc2any.exe does use render XLS file to EMF file first, and convert EMF to SWF file again, so it will keep the margins.
With office 2007 and PDF&XPS addons, doc2any.exe will convert XLS to PDF first, and convert PDF file to SWF file again, so it will create multiple pages in SWF file.

Doc2any.exe is contain different methods to convert XLS to SWF file, so you may get different SWF file in different environment.

Could you provide a quote and timescale for fixing this. Our spec is very simple - we want the output to work just like it does in Office
2003 - making one big swf, not paginating.

Thanks for your message, we will include following functions into the future releases of doc to any converter product, we will let you know after new version is ready,

1. Support office 2003,
2. Making one big swf, not paginating,
3. No margins in output SWF file,
