PDF Split Merging query

Hi
I want to merge pdfs that are password protected, but using the command
line, there appears no way to insert it as an paramter.

Is there something I am missing, because the website says:
Support "owner" password protected PDF files;

How does this work.

Many thanks

PDF Split-Merge v3.0 does support owner password protected PDF files automatically, you needn't deliver the password to it.

Re my email below about the merge programme not working with a password protected pdf.

1x.pdf is passworded, password is secret
New Microsoft Excel Worksheet.pdf is not password protected,

When try to merge, it does say in the bottom of the application, 'unknown source'

Thanks
===========================
1x.pdf file is protected by "open password", but not "owner password",
they are two different type of passwords.

However, this is a minior feature, if you have purchased PDF Split-Merge
v3.0, please email to us your Order ID, we will send the latest version
of pdfpg.exe to you asap, the latest version of pdfpg.exe does support
accept "open password" from command line.

Hi,

I sent a previous email today about this.

Could you send me an example pdf with a password set, which can be used
with split-merge v3.0, and let me know the command line to use, so I can
see this working.

Many thanks
===========================
Thanks for your message, the current version of PDF Split-Merge doesn't
support "open password" protected PDF file yet, however, after you
purchased it, please email to us your Order ID, we will add this
function to you shortly.

In the meantime, you can download HTML Converter Command Line product
from our website to try, HTML Converter Command Line does support "open
password" protected PDF file during merging, for example,

htmltools.exe -mergepdf "D:\temp2\1x.pdf|D:\temp2\1.pdf" -openpwd "secret" C:\out.pdf

HTML Converter Command Line product can be downloaded from following URL,

From the command line, and using addbookmark, can you use a custom
bookmark when merging, instead of using just 1,2 or 3.

Maybe 4 does it, but I'd like to see some examples.
===========================
Hi,

PDF Split-Merge does support read bookmarks and PDF files from a text
file, you may write following text lines into the "C:\bookmark.txt"
file,
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Bookmark->File1
C:\temp\001.PDF
Bookmark->File2
C:\temp\002.pdf
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Bookmark->" is a keyword in text file, a real bookmark text will be appended to "Bookmark->" keyword,

In this example,

Bookmark "File1" will point to "C:\temp\001.PDF" file, Bookmark "File2" will point to "C:\temp\002.PDF" file,

You may run following command line to merge PDF files and bookmmarks into your PDF file,

"C:\Program Files\PDF Split-Merge v3.0\pdfpg.exe" addbookmark 4 C:\bookmark.txt C:\out.pdf

Hi

If we already have a pdf with bookmarks, can we use 'split/merge' to
merge another one that has bookmarks, and for the necessary parts to go
into the correct location within the outputted pdf ?

Thanks
===========================
Yes, if you don't use "Bookmark" parameter to pdfpg.exe, pdfpg.exe will keep the bookmakrs in merged PDF files automatically, it will redirect bookmarks to correct page number in merged PDF files.
