How to reorient PDF pages and print PDF via command line?

The first step for you to print a PDF file via command line is to run the Command Prompt window. Then, you should enter a command line in a pattern as following:

pdfprint.exe -pdforient <int> <PDF Files>

Generally speaking the command line you need to enter should be combined by three parts. The directory of the executable file, the essential command -pdforient <int> and the directory of the PDF file you want to print. In this pattern, pdfprint.exe refers to the executable file, which is called “pdfprint.exe”. -pdforient <int> is the essential command and the parameter which are integral. int stands for integral and four parameters are provided: 0, 1, 2, 3. <PDF Files>, which stands for the PDF file you want to print. In addition, the contents enclosed by the angle brackets are essential.

For instance, you can enter a command line like the following one:

D:\pdfprint_cmd\pdfprint.exe -pdforient 0 D:\top.pdf

  • D:\pdfprint_cmd\pdfprint.exe represents the path of the executable file which is placed in the folder called “pdfprint_cmd” on disk D;
  • -pdforient 0 is the command you use to print the PDF pages upright. Moreover, if you are interested, you can also change the parameter after to the other three numbers: 1,2,3. The pages illustrated at the end of this article will show the results of different parameters.
  • D:\top.pdf is the directory of the PDF file, which is placed in the root folder “D:\”.

The last step for you to print PDF files via command line is just press the “Enter” key. The computer will start sending the message to the accessible printer device and drive it to print PDF pages .
