Convert PowerPoint to image and set color depth by command line

VeryPDF Document Converter has the capacity to convert PowerPoint to over 100 image formats. It supports batch conversion, allows users to set color depth and  provides four versions including a command line version. I think VeryPDF Document Converter is your best choice to solve all the problems.

VeryPDF Document Converter is the advanced version of Document Printer (docPrint). Hence, it is also named docPrint Pro. Please download Document Converter and install it on your computer. Then, you can find the command line application, which is the executable file doc2pdf.exe, in the installation folder. You can take two steps to convert PowerPoint to image and set color depth by command line as follows:

The first step is to open the command prompt window. Command Prompt is included in all versions of Windows. Depending on different versions of Windows, you need to open it in different ways. Once you open the command prompt window, you can use it in the same way no matter under which version of Windows you're. Taking Windows XP as an example, if you want to open the command prompt window through the Start menu, please do as follows: click the Start button at the bottom of the screen, and then click Command Prompt on the Start menu.

The second step is to use doc2pdf.exe to convert PowerPoint to image and set color depth. You should type a command line according to the basic usage of the executable file as follows:

Usage: doc2pdf [options] <-i Document Files> [-o Output]

The option you can use to set color depth is -b <color type>, which permits three parameter values. -b 1 can generate black and white image files; -b 8 can output image files with 256 colors; and -b 24 can create output image files with true colors. The following are some examples:

  • "C:\docPrint Pro v5.0\doc2pdf.exe" -b 1 -i D:\in.ppt -o E:\out.eps
  • "C:\docPrint Pro v5.0\doc2pdf.exe" -b 8 -i D:\in.pptx -o E:\out.jpg
  • "C:\docPrint Pro v5.0\doc2pdf.exe" -b 24 -i C:\*.pptx -o D:\*.wmf

Please type a command line as the examples, and then press Enter. The computer will prompt to convert PowerPoint to image and set color depth as you wish.
