Print PDF in Batch

VeryPDF provides a command line application and a GUI application to help you print PDF in batch. They are PDFPrint Command Line and PDF Batch Print GUI. 1. Download VeryPDF PDFPrint Command Line

Please click PDFPrint Command Line to download the zip file and then decompress it to the root folder on any hard disk such as disk C. After that, you will find the executable file named pdfprint.exe in the folder named pdfprint_cmd. This executable file is the key tool we are going to use.

2. Open the command prompt window

Under different Windows operating systems, people need to take different ways to open the command prompt window. Taking Windows XP as an example, you should do as follows: open the Start menu by clicking the Start button on the screen. And then click Command Prompt.

3. Type a command line and press Enter

To view the basic usage of the command line application, you should type the directory of the executable file in the command line and press Enter. Or you can just take a look at the usage shown as follows:

Usage: pdfprint.exe [options] [Options] <PDF Files>

The following are some examples:

  • C:\pdfprint_cmd\pdfprint.exe D:\input.pdf
  • C:\pdfprint_cmd\pdfprint.exe -printer "PDFcamp Printer" D\input.pdf
  • C:\pdfprint_cmd\pdfprint.exe D:\*.pdf

The first one can be used to print a single PDFfile on the default printer connected to your computer. The second example uses the option –printer <string> to specify the printer named PDFcamp Printer as the printer. And the last example can print PDF files. The combination of the wildcard * and file extension represents all the PDF files in the root folder on disk D. Please type a command line according to the basic usage. Don’t forget to press Enter after typing a command line.

Compared with PDF Batch Print GUI, PDFPrint Command Line requires fewer steps to print PDF in batch. For some users, they may think the command line application is easier to use. While to others, they may prefer to the GUI version. Anyway, both the applications can help you solve your problem perfectly.
