Convert documents of HTML to PS by command line

If there is a local html document or a online html document that you want to save as PS format file, how to do? Please don’t worry! You can convert the document of html to ps perfectly well by using the command line application of Document Converter. In the conversion, there are only three steps and you just need to read this article to see how the application works.

Before knowing how the command line application works, you should know something about its information. Document Converter is a software product which contains three internal applications. The executable file doc2pdf.exe appear in installation package is the called program file in this conversion and you just need to call it in conversion process.

1. Please try to open MS-DOS prompt window for inputting the command line. You should use the hot key “Window”+ “R” to open “Run” dialog box and type “cmd” in “Open” combo box. Then please click “OK” button. You can also use the regular way to open “Run” dialog box by clicking “Start”—“Run”.

2. The command line to be inputted in MS-DOS prompt window contains the called program, source file and target file. The called program is the executable file doc2pdf.exe which has been mentioned above, the source file is the html document that you want to convert and the target file is the target ps format file that you want to get. Please see the following sample:

doc2pdf –i “www.verypdf.com” –o C:\new.ps

In the command line,

doc2pdf stands for the called program doc2pdf.exe and you should use the path of this file when you call it in MS-DOS prompt window.

–i “www.verypdf.com” stands for the source file and you just need to input the URL of the html document into the command line. If you want to convert the local html document to ps format, you should input the path of it.

–o C:\new.ps stands for the name of target file/

3. Please click “Enter” button to run the conversion from html to ps at last and you will get the target file several seconds later.
