You can use either the command line application or the GUI application provided by VeryPDF PCL Converter to convert PRN to BMP and set color depth. This article aims to introduce the GUI application and explain how to take four steps to accomplish the job.
Please download VeryPDF PCL Converter, install it on the computer, and then do as follows:
Firstly, please double click the icon of VeryPDF PCL Converter on the desktop. If you are using the trial version, a dialog box will pop out. Please click Try. If you are using a registered version, the interface as the following one will directly pop out. Different from the trial version, the registered version does not have the Register key on the interface.
Secondly, please choose one of the following three ways to add the PRN files you want to convert:
- Drag the PRN files from Windows Explorer and drop them into to the list box.
- Or click Add File(s), select the PRN files in the dialog box and press Enter.
- Or click File on the tool bar above the list box, click Add File(s) or Add Directory, select PRN files in the dialog box that appears and press Enter.
Thirdly, set options. You can click Setting on the interface to open the setting dialog box. Then, in the first combo box entitled Output format of this dialog box, select .bmp as the output format.
After setting the output format, you can set color depth by clicking the Save Image Mode tab to switch to the corresponding mode, and specify 1,8or 24 bits as the color depth for the result BMP files.
You can also set other options before you pressing Enter or clicking OK. The dialog box disappears from the screen and you can proceed to the next step.
Fourthly, please click Start on the main interface. The Browse for Folder dialog box pops out, and then you can select a folder in this dialog box. Once you click OK, the computer will begin to convert PRN to BMP as quickly as you wish.
