Add graphic annotation to PDF

When you add annotation to your PDF document, you may not want to use the single annotation graphic. If you can use different kinds of graphic annotation in your PDF, the document will be interesting and appealing. Please following this article to learn how to add graphic annotation to your PDF document with the help of PDF Editor application.

Please download the application at https://www.verypdf.com/pdf-editor/pdfeditor_setup.exe and install it on your computer. If you don’t want to use the free evaluation version of PDF Editor, please buy it at its homepage https://www.verypdf.com/app/pdf-editor/index.html.

The first thing you need to do is to open PDF Editor. If you have created a desktop icon for the application, please double click it or right click it and choose “Open” option. You can also click “Start”—“All Programs”—“VeryPDF PDF Editor v2.6”—“VeryPDF PDF Editor” to open the application.

Then add the PDF document to the application from “Open” dialog box. For opening this dialog box, you can click “File”—“Open” or click “Open” button in toolbar. If you like to use the keyboard shortcuts, please press “Ctrl”+ “O” to open the dialog box.

You will see the PDF document is opened in the document pane of PDF Editor. Now please click “Tools”—“Edit Comment” or click “Edit Comment” button in toolbar to open the comment status and you can see the four buttons in the comment toolbar become available. Just see it in Figure 1. Please click “Add Note” button or click “Tools”—“Comment”—“Note” and the note icon will appear in the default place of document pane. If you don’t like this default graphic, please change it to some other graphic annotation.

Right click the note icon and click “Properties” in popup floating item. The “Properties” dialog box will appear which is shown in Figure 1. In “Icon” dropdown list, you can choose many kinds of graphics for the note icon from all the supported ones. The color box allows you change the color of commenting window which will pop up when you double click the note icon for inputting your comments. The “Opacity” box is used to change opacity degree of the note icon. Then click “Close” button and click “Save” button or click “File”—“Save” to save the changes.

You need to create a new PDF document after you do all  the operations shown above. Just use the shortcut key “Ctrl”+ “Shift”+ “S” or click “File”—“Save as” to open “Save as” dialog box. Then choose the location, input the name and save the target file. You can find the new generated PDF document in the specified location.
