Add image annotation to PDF

If you use image to annotate your PDF document, the original boring document will become to be appealing. Just by using PDF Editor, you can easily add the annotation image to your PDF document. You just need to open the application you use as the tool, add document to the application, add annotation image and create new PDF document.

You are recommended to download the free evaluation version of PDF Editor at https://www.verypdf.com/pdf-editor/pdfeditor_setup.exe and install on your computer. Let’s get into the task now and please open PDF Editor at first. If there is an application icon on your desktop, please double click it or right click it and choose “Open” option to launch the application. If you can not see the icon, please click “Start”—“All Programs”—“VeryPDF PDF Editor v2.6”—“VeryPDF DPF Editor” for opening the application.

The second step is to add PDF document into PDF Editor. You can choose the PDF document in “Open” dialog box which can be opened by clicking “File”—“Open” or clicking “Open” button in the toolbar. You can also use the hot key “Ctrl”+ “O” to open this dialog box for adding your PDF document.

The third step is to add annotation into PDF document. In the opened user interface of PDF Editor, please click “Edit Comment” or click “Tools”—“Edit Comment” to open the comment status so that you can use the buttons in comment toolbar such as “Add Textbox”, “Add Note”, “Add Stamp” and “Add pencil”. To add and edit the annotation image, please click “Stamp” button or click “Tools”—“Comment”—“Stamp”. The “Open” dialog box will come out in which you can find the image file on your computer. PDF Editor supports different kinds of annotation image formats such as BMP, GIF, JPG, TIFF, etc. and add the image as a stamp in PDF document. For example, we choose one BMP image and click “Open” button. Then you can edit this stamp image. Please see Figure 1.

If you want to add comments for the annotation image, please double click on the image and you will see the commenting window in which you can input your comment words. You can also drag this window to any position and resize it via dragging its edge. When you finish editing, please click the close box in the upper right corner of the window. If you want to see the comments again, please double click the image. If you want to edit the stamp image, you can right click it. In the popup floating item, you can choose to copy, cut paste, etc. for the image or you can click “Properties” option to set its properties in “Properties” dialog box in which you can set the comment window color and opacity degree of the annotation image. Then please click “Close” button and click “Save” button in toolbar of PDF Editor main window to save all the changes.

The last step is to create new PDF document. Please click “File”—“Save as” or use the hot key “Ctrl”+ “Shift”+ “S” combination to open “Save as” dialog  box. Then you can choose the location for target file in “Save in” dropdown list, input the name for target file in “File name” edit box and click “Save” button to create new PDF document.
