By using PDF Editor, you can add different kinds of comment format for the pdf document, such as note, stamp, textbox, etc. In this article, you will know how to add pdf line comment. The first step—Open PDF Editor
You can use any one of the following ways to open PDF Editor.
- Double click the desktop icon.
- Right click the desktop icon and click “Open” option in dropdown list.
- Click “Start”—“All Programs”—“VeryPDF PDF Editor v2.6”—“VeryPDF PDF Editor”.
The second step—Add pdf document
For adding pdf document into PDF Editor, you need to open “Open” dialog box in which you can choose the pdf document that you want to edit. You can refer to one of the following ways to open this dialog box in the opened interface of PDF Editor.
- Click “File” in menu area and click “Open” in dropdown list.
- Correspondingly click “Open” button in the toolbar of PDF Editor.
- Use the shortcut key “Ctrl”+ “O” on the keyboard.
The third step—Add pdf line comment
Please use one of the following ways to open comment status:
- Click “Edit Comment” button in the toolbar.
- Click “Tools”—“Edit Comment”.
Then the four buttons in comment toolbar come to available. Just click “Tools”—“Comment”—“Draw”—“Line” and then you need to move the cursor to the place you want to draw the line. Left-click the mouse and drag it to anyplace you like, and then there appears a line along the cursor path. The point you begin the line is called Start point and the point you stop the line is called End point. Left-click the line and don’t loose it, you can drag the line to any position of document pane. You can also pull or turn the line.
By double clicking the line, there is a commenting window popping up, in which you can input your comment. You can also right click the line to edit its properties via clicking “Properties” in the popup floating item. Please see the dialog box in Figure 1.

Then please click “Close” button when you finish editing pdf line comment and click “Save” button or click “File”—“Save” to save the changes you have made.
