Add line to PDF

With the application PDF Editor, you can add different kinds of draws for the inputted pdf document, such as line, rectangle, ellipse, etc. Via these elements, the pdf document seems clearer and more visible. In this article, you will see how to add pdf line in your document.

For using the application PDF Editor, you need to download it at the following link: http://dl.verypdf.net/pdfeditor_setup.exe. Then please install it on your computer. If there is need, you can create a desktop icon so that you can easily find the application and open it when you use it.

In this task, there are four steps that you need follow. The first step is to open the application. You can double click the desktop icon or right click the icon and click “Open” option in dropdown list. Or you can click “Start”—“All Programs”—“VeryPDF PDF Editor v2.6”—“VeryPDF PDF Editor” to open the application.

The second step is to input the pdf document that you want to edit into PDF Editor. You need to open a dialog box named as “Open” in which you can select the document. For opening this dialog box, you can click “File”—“Open” or click “Open” button in the toolbar. If you love to use the hot key, just press “Ctrl”+ “O” combination on your keyboard.

Then you will see the added pdf document in document pane of PDF Editor. Now you can add pdf line into the document. Just click the “Edit Content” button in the basic toolbar or click “Tools”—“Edit Content” to open content status. Then click “Add line” button in content toolbar or you can click “Tools”—“Content”—“Draw”—“Line”.

Move the cursor to the place you want to draw the line. Left-click the line and drag it to anyplace you like, and then there appears a line along with the cursor path. Let the cursor point to the line frame, you can drag it to any position in the document pages. Please see it in Figure 1.

Right click the line frame and click “Properties” in popup floating item, the dialog box “Content Editor-Line” will appear, in which you can change the line’s color, width and location. In “General” form, you can change the line color and its width. Click “Color” box and select a color in the color table and click the Line Width textbox and enter a value. In Transform form, you can set the line’s location and its width and height. Please see it in Figure 2. Then you can close the dialog box.

After adding pdf line, please click “Save” button in the toolbar of PDF Editor or click “File”—“Save” to save the changes you have made. Then please create a new pdf document by clicking “File”—“Save as” to open “Save as” dialog box. Then you can name and specify the location for the new pdf document.
