After you open Image to PDF OCR Converter by double clicking the application icon or clicking “Start”—“All Programs”—“Image2PDF OCR v3.2”—“Image2PDF OCR v3.2”, you need to add the WMF image into the application. You can click “File (F)” in menu bar and click “Add files” in dropdown list to open file picker window in which you can select the file you want to convert and add it into the application. When you can see the added image appear in file list, you can do the next thing.
Click “File (F)” in menu bar and click “Image2PDF Setting” option in dropdown list to open “PDF E-Book Maker-OCR Version” dialog box. If you don’t want to set other parameters for the target file, please click “OCR” tab and click “Use OCR” option. Then click “OK” button, which is for launching OCR function to recognize characters in WMF image file.
Please click “Make PDF” button. In the popup floating item you need to choose the option “convert selected 1 file into pdf file” for opening “Save as” dialog box in which you can set the output location for the target file and input the name in “Save in” dropdown list and “File name” edit box. Command line way
If you want to call Image to PDF OCR Converter Command Line, you need to open MS-DOS command prompt window at first because this application is a MS-DOS oriented one. Please use the keyboard shortcuts “Window”+ “R” combination to open “Run” dialog box and input “cmd” in “Open” combo box. Then click “OK” button.
After that, you can input the command line into MS-DOS command prompt window. Please refer to the following command line template to write your own one:
img2pdf [options] <-o output> <images>
For you to better understand the command line, you can see the following example:
img2pdf –x 1 –o E:\OUT\file-out.pdf E:\IN\file-in.wmf
In the command line
img2pdf stands for the called program and you need to use its full path in the command line for calling it.
–x 1 is for creating searchable PDF document with OCR function.
–o E:\OUT\file-out.pdf is for specifying the path of target file.
E:\IN\file-in.wmf is the path of source file.
If you don’t like to input the file path in MS-DOS interface, you can directly drag the file you need and drop it into the command prompt window.
At last, please press “Enter” button on the keyboard to run the conversion from WMF to searchable PDF document.
