How to convert PDF to editable Excel

The first step—Add PDF document into the application

Please double click the icon of PDF to Excel OCR Converter to open the application or you can click “Start”—“All Programs”—“VeryPDF PDF to Excel OCR Converter v2.0”—“VeryPDF PDF to Excel OCR Converter v2.0”. You will be able to see the interface of the application on your screen. Please see it in Figure 1. Please click “Add PDF File (s)” or right click any position in the file list and choose “Add files” in popup floating item to open “PDF to Excel” dialog box and select the PDF document to be converted, then add it into the file list.

The second step—Set parameters for the target file

To select which option in top-right dropdown list for the target file depends on the input PDF document, scanned one or the common one. If it is the scanned PDF, you need to select one of the options from 2 to 7 according to the language in the document. If it is common PDF document, please choose the 1st option—Convert PDF file without use OCR.

In “Output Options” group box, you need to choose the layout for the output Excel file from three optional ones. To decide the output format, you can choose a suitable one in “Output Formats” group box as “XLS” or “XLSX”. In “Page Range” group box, you can convert all pages or convert customized pages of PDF to editable Excel file. If the input PDF document is an encrypted one, please input its open password in “PDF Password” edit box. If you want to view the target file after the conversion at once, please check “View after convert” option.

The last step—Save the target file and run the conversion

Please click “Convert” button in the interface of the application. The “Save as” dialog box will pop up. Please specify the output location in “Save in” dropdown list and input the name of the target file in “File name” edit box. Then please click “Save” button to run the conversion from PDF to editable Excel file. You can see “Save as” dialog box in Figure 2.
