The image viewer on my computer can’t open PRN files. The other day, I found a document convert on the homepage of VeryPDF. This document converter is very easy to use and it’s named PCL Converter, which supports four input formats: PRN, PCL, PXL, and PX3, and various output formats including PCX, PDF, PNG, JPG, TIF, etc. I would like to share it with you. Only four steps are required to convert PRN to PCX and set resolution.
1. Download and Run PCL Converter
Please click PCL Converter to download the tool. Then follow the instruction to install it on your computer. A shortcut icon will appear on the desktop, and you can double click the icon to run PCL Converter.
2. Input PRN Files
The first button under the list box of the interface is Add File(s). Please input PRN files by clicking this button, > choosing the PRN files from the pop-up dialog box, > clicking OK to close the dialog box. Then you can view the information of the input files on the interface. If you want to remove some added files, you can right click with the mouse, and choose proper options on the pop-up menu.
3. Set Output Options
You need to set at least two options to generate PCX files and. Please do as follows: click the Setting button on the main interface, > There are six tabs at the top of the pop-up dialog box. The default tab control is Base Setting, where you can set output format by selecting .pcx from the Output format combo box. > Click the second tab Save Image Mode, > choose an item from the Image Resolution combo box. > Click OK after you set other output options.
4. Export PCL Files
Click Start on the main interface. > The Browse for Folder dialog box pops out. You can choose a folder in the dialog box. > Click OK. Then, the computer prompts to convert PRN to PCX. And you can go to check the result in a couple of seconds.
