It is a little cumbersome to add internal link in PDF file documents without Adobe software installed. You can not edit internal link easily as you do in Word or PPT document. But sometime you do need to process internal page refreshing in PDF document. In this article, I will show you how to add page link as stamp in PDF. I use tool named VeryPDF PDF Stamp, which can be used to stamp company logos, signatures, charts, page numbers, date and time, contact information to the PDF files.
Step 1. Download PDF Stamp
- There are two versions stated on our website, please download the command line version. Once downloading finishes, please extract it to some folder then find executable file in example folder.
- This is Windows application, for now it can not work under Mac and Linux system.
Step 2. Stamp PDF by page link
- When you use this software, please refer to the usage and example.
Usage:[<-AI> <string> [-Pn] [-MLRn] [-MTBn] [-Rn] [-L][-U <url>]/[-GO <page no.>]/[-OP <file>]/[-GR <file> <page no.>][-Wn] [-Hn] ] - When you stamp PDF by page link, please refer to the following command line template.
pdfstamp -PDF "example.pdf" -o "17.pdf" -AT "Supports page links" -p4 -fs32 -c255 -mlr-50 -mtb200 -go 3
When inputting command line, please specify input PDF and output PDF file path first by parameter –PDF and –O. Please input page link text by parameter –AT then specify this link position, font style, and the PDF page which the page link takes to.
Parameter Related.
-PDF <input file>:Open an existing PDF file to stamp.
-O <output file>:Write output to a new file, the default is stamp on the input PDF file.
-AT:<string>String is the content of the stamp that you will create. In your stamp the text to be stamped must be enclosed in quotation mark, as with all other parameters in the stamp content.
-GO <page No. >:Go to Page , open a specified page in the current document. For example: -go 3 .
-FSn (default is -FS16):Set the font size, default is 16 point, for example, e.g. –FS16 -fs32 means use the font size is 32.
-Cn (default is -C0):Specify the text color, range from 0x000000-0xFFFFFF, in decimal system, .e.g –C255.
[-MLRn] [-MTBn]:Offset from current position, n is an offset value, default n equal zero,
-MLRn: Move to left or right n point
-MTBn: Move to top or bottom n point
Now let us check the stamp effect from the following snapshot. When you click the font of “Support page links”, it will takes you to the page 3. The font either can be set as image like some refreshing page button.
