Step 1. Install PDF Table Extractor for Mac
- This is GUI version software, so you need to install it. When downloading finishes, there will be a pkg file. Please install this software by double clicking the .pkg file and following installation message.

- Please click frame icon to draw area around the table which you need to extract data from it. Then click line icon to draw lines to separate content in tables.
- If those tables in PDF are regular in format and layout, please click button Apply to All, then all the pages in PDF will be OCRed.
- Once finishes extracting, all the content extracted in the table will be shown in the bottom part. If you find there is some wrong, you can correct them. Then save the extracted content.
- By this software, you save the extracted content as Excel (.xls), (.csv) and others. Please click option Save then you can choose the output file formats.
This software supports Mac OS of v 10.5, 10.6, 10.7 and later. And there is also Window version available. And the Window version is a little bit different with the Mac version, so please do not be surprised if you find Window version has more functions than the Mac version.
