Thanks for your message, PDF Form Filler is not support MySQL database, you need write a simple script to extract data from MySQL database, save to FDF file first, then you can call our PDF Form Filler SDK or PDF Form Filler Cloud API to incorporate FDF file into PDF file.

Populate LiveCycle PDF from MySQL database using PHP
Fill PDF Forms with PHP, MySQL etc.

I'm trying to set up a database of loan agreements, where users will submit a form through Acrobat and their information will be stored in a MySQL database. Later, they can go back and download the PDF, which will be repopulated with their data in the MySQL db.

I made the form in Livecycle Designer and submit the information through HTTP POST. I can easily get the information from the form into the database...my only problem is getting that information back out into the PDF.

What would allow me to write back to the PDF, preferably using PHP? What kind of syntax would that require?

Thanks!

Fill form field in existing PDF from database live

------------------------------------------------

Hi,

I'm wondering if this is possible.

To have a pre-generated PDF on a server with an existing form field for a personalized message. Then, dynamically fill in the form field from a MySQL database. Then send the PDF via email. This will be handled with PHP for the most part.

The alternative is to have the server generate the PDF on the fly. However, due to the way the PDF generation hits the server we'd like to just have a single line or paragraph dynamically generated. The question really is can an existing PDF be altered on the fly by using form fields?

I have a pre-designed form stored as a .pdf
I need to fill up the form in the file with data from MySQL.

Thanks

Help me move data from a database to a PDF, automatically.

------------------------------------------------

I need to capture data from an HTML form into a database, then use that data to populate a template. The template, however, is of a certificate of accomplishment, and must be in the form of a printable PDF. What's a good software/middleware/whateverware package to automatically take the data and inject it into a PDF like this? More inside.

I'm open to using any OS or database format, none of that has been decided yet. I need to do this quickly and cheaply. I've got the skills for the basic parts, it's the data-to-PDF step that has my stymied. Any help is awesome.

Thanks.

Use Database to fill out PDF form

------------------------------------------------
Hello all,

I am working on a site where I will gather info from users and store in a database. That's the easy part. I then want to be able to pull up a pdf form (stored on the website) and have it automatically filled out by pulling info from the database. My one thought would be to open the pdf as a background image and have a table over it where I would call data from the database, but is there a better way with a current version of acrobat reader? Obviously the data needs to go in the appropriate spots. I need the user to be able to print this completed for for sure and it would be nice if they could save it as well. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

My goal is to create a way fill a PDF form from a database. I have an inventory of items that I want to track and would like to do so by outputting to an existing pdf form. I would like to use a database that can easily be edited by a gui like access (that is installed on the computers at work). I am on work computers and am not sure if I will be able to run an exe's on them.

That sums up my goals and issues. I am very new to programming and was thinking I could do this with a webpage and have the database and the pdf form all stored in the same file and use the webpage to make queries to fill the pdf form while using access to edit the database for the inventory.

It appears php would be the best way to do this but it looks like php requires a server to run its code. So I was thinking I could host the php code on a server and attempt to access a the database at work using the db's shared drive location. Since I am new to database I am not sure if that is possible or if I would need to have the database hosted on a server.

Does anyone have any recommendations on how I could accomplish this. I was thinking about just having it all server based but I signed up for 1and1 hosting to experiment with and its MySQL database cannot be accessed remotely. I guess this is not a big problem but it would require me to develop my own gui for db editing.

I am not necessarily looking for code examples, just big picture ideas on how to accomplish this.

Thanks.
