=============================

After doing the steps give below also we are getting the same kind of issue.

We falloed the steps given in the VERYPDF forums.

VeryPDF PCL Converter v2.0 – Application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005)

and now we are trying to overcome this issue by converting the batch files (all the files from the folder at the same time) but this process is too slow to convert tp PDF,
it is taking around 25 to 30 files per min, is there any way to improve the performance.
============================
Thanks for your message, the speed of 25 to 30 files per minute is normal, we haven’t a way to improve the speed again, however, you can use the faster CPU and bigger RAM to improve the conversion speed.

pdf print

We own the command line version of VeryPDF pdfPrint and are having issues

We have tried various things with no success yet.  We are shelling out of a database application.  However we cannot seem to print with the pdfprint utility when doing that.  When I look at the message is says it cannot find the printer we are trying to print to.  However if I shell out of cache and just call the pdfprint.exe with -listprinter option - it sees all the printers?  How can this be?  We've tried starting cache as local admin and running the pdfprint.exe as an admin etc.  We cannot do the cmduser stuff as having passwords in files like that will violate PCI rules.

Is it possible to explain how the -listprinter option works and shows our Printername , but the -printer Printername option - gives the message cannot find Printername?

Also - even the -listbins option works. I can list out the various bins for the printer, but again cannot print to it?

Note these are network printers.

Any other help is appreciated
==============================
Please use IP address to instead of computer name to try again, for example,

Pdfprint.exe -printer "\\192.168.1.10\myprinter" C:\test.pdf

Can you work fine with IP address to the target printer?

VeryPDF
==============================
The direct IP also does not work.  Below is the output from a -debug option.
I need to understand what system calls you are making when trying to get the default printer and also SetDefaultPrinter.  I'm working with the database company that we are calling out from to your utility.  There is some sort of security issue blocking your utility from talking to the printers - although when I run the -listprinter option - your utility can see all the printers.
Note your utility works fine if I run it from the windows command prompt - it doesn't work if I shell out to a command prompt from within the database (Cache in this situation) and call the utility.  So please advise as to what operations you are calling when the following debug outputs shows return code of zero for set default printer etc. What are you calling in WINSPOOL.DRV for that operation?

Output from debug run

Try to load 'WINSPOOL.DRV' file...
Load 'WINSPOOL.DRV' file OK.
Default printer is ''.
SetDefaultPrinter to 'jodi' printer, return code = 0.
Can't locate the "jodi" printer in this computer, please double check the printer name and to try again.

Thanks,
==============================
It seems your database user account hasn't permission to access to network printer, please refer to following articles to solve this problem,

How do I call pdfprint from Windows Service or Local System to print the PDF file to network printer?

PDF Printer can’t print PDF file to network printer from Windows Service

please refer to more documents about PDF Print Command Line application from following web page,

https://www.verypdf.com/wordpress/category/pdf-print

VeryPDF
===============================
Thanks, but I've already tried those options. So I need to know what type of system calls the utility is making when it tries to find and set the default printer.  I attached a -debug output below - please tell me what the utility is trying to do behind the scenes so we can determine what the database vendor needs to do to allow us to access the features the utility is trying to access

Thanks,
===========================
PDFPrint Command Line application does call SetDefaultPrinter() API function to set special printer as default printer, if SetDefaultPrinter() function can't locate your specified printer, it will return FALSE.

You can also give the network access function to that special user account to try again, if that user account able to call SetDefaultPrinter() function properly, the pdfprint.exe will work fine too.

docprint pro

When I click on “docPrint Software” a screen briefly flashes and then disappears.

I purchased Docprint, installed it and the program will not run. When I click on "docPrint Software" a screen briefly flashes and then disappears.  The printer drivers installed but if I direct my output to the docprint PDF Driver I get a message telling me that I am running a trial version and then asks me if I want to buy it! Please help me get this going as I need this to work.
==========================
Please use following solutions to use docPrint or convert your documents to other formats,

Solution 1: Print => docPrint => docPrint PDF Driver => Save To PDF, TIFF, JPEG, etc.

Please print your document to docPrint, then you will see a docPrint Preview Window, please click "File->Print" menus, and select "docPrint PDF Driver" printer, then please print your current document to "docPrint PDF Driver" printer, you will get a "save as" dialog shortly, please select "*.pdf" as output format, then you will get a high quality PDF file, however, you can also save as to TIFF, JPEG, PS, EPS, etc. formats easily.

Solution 2: Print => docPrint PDF Driver => Save To PDF, TIFF, JPEG, etc.

In your printing application (such as MS Word, MS Excel or others), please print your document to docPrint PDF Driver directly, then you will get a "save as" dialog, then you can output to PDF, TIFF, JPEG, etc. formats.

Solution 3: Print => docPrint => Save As To PDF, TIFF, JPEG, etc.

In the docPrint Preview Window, please click "Save As" button, then you can save the current document to raster PDF file directly, however, you can also save as to TIFF, JPEG, BMP, WMF, EMF, etc. formats by same method.

If you encounter any problem with above solutions, please feel free to let us know, we are glad to assist you asap.

How can I convert a text file to PDF that contain Chinese Character and Hong Kong Font?

HI Support Team of verypdf,

How can I convert a text file to PDF that contain Chinese Character and Hong Kong Font?

I tried this:

The Font "MS Song" is installed in Control-Panel -> Fonts in the Window XP

HI Verypdf Support,

Thx for your quick reply.

I am using the trial version of "docPrint Document Converter Progessional".

I will use this software in command line and have some problem below:

1. If it is run by command line, the attribute/parameter is controlled by printer driver "docPrint PDF Driver"  or override by the command line ?
2. How to run in silent mode ? Please see the print screen, it prompt "printing in progress" , sorry it is Chinese window.
3. How can I specify font face/ font size and line spacing ?
4. When the job completed, it prompt "Waiting here (xx)", after  the output PDF appear in the specified directory, it return to command prompt.  How to make it directly indicate "Convert Complete" instead of prompting "Waitng here" ?

Thank you.
======================================
>>1. If it is run by command line, the attribute/parameter is controlled
>>by printer driver "docPrint PDF Driver"  or override by the command line?

Yes, you can run following command line to convert your DOC files to PDF files,

"C:\Program Files\docPrint Pro v5.0\doc2pdf.exe" -i C:\test.doc -o C:\out.pdf

doc2pdf.exe will control the "docPrint PDF Driver" automatically, you needn't control it by yourself.

>>2. How to run in silent mode ? Please see the print screen, it prompt
>>"printing in progress" , sorry it is Chinese window.

You can use "-d" parameter to hide this printing dialog, for example,

"C:\Program Files\docPrint Pro v5.0\doc2pdf.exe" -d -i C:\test.doc -o C:\out.pdf

>>3. How can I specify font face/ font size and line spacing ?

doc2pdf.exe can't specify font face and font size and line spacing, you need set the font face, font size and line spacing in input DOC, RTF or HTML format, you can use doc2pdf.exe to convert this DOC, RTF or HTML format to PDF file, the font face, font size and line spacing will be kept in output PDF file.

>>4. When the job completed, it prompt "Waiting here (xx)", after the
>>output PDF appear in the specified directory, it return to command
>>prompt. How to make it directly indicate "Convert Complete" instead
>>of prompting "Waitng here" ?

You can simple redirect log message to a NULL device, for example,

"C:\Program Files\docPrint Pro v5.0\doc2pdf.exe" -d -i C:\test.doc -o C:\out.pdf > nul

Above command line will not output any message to console,

Hi Verypdf Support,

Thx for your quick reply.

Actually we want to convert txt files to PDF, with Chinese Character, Hong Kong Font, need to specify font name, font size, line spacing, resolution in the PDF.  Which product can fulfill this?

Thank you.
======================================
You sould better convert your text file to HTML file, set Chinese fonts, font name, font size, line spacing in the HTML file, then you can use docPrint Pro v5.0 to convert HTML file to PDF file properly, for example,

"C:\Program Files\docPrint Pro v5.0\doc2pdf.exe" -i C:\test.html -o C:\out.pdf
