I can't convert a .DocX to a PDF file

Hi Verydoc,

I have downloaded your  DOC to Any Converter SDK/COM Version, and is trying to use it.

I have created a small project in Delphi, where I try con convert a .DocX to a PDF, but in my project I don’t get any result out of this.
The library seems to load fine, but as I use it as a com object, I do not seem to get any error results back.

I guess this is because I don’t have any Input Registration Key.

To evaluate your software, can I have a registration key, which will last just a couple of days/  a week?
Kind regards
===============================================
Yes, it is maybe caused by limitation in trial version.

For the evaluation purpose, we suggest you may download DOC to Any Converter Command Line from following web page to try,

http://www.verydoc.com/doc-to-any.html

http://www.verydoc.com/doc2any_cmd.zip

you can run following command line to convert your DOCX file to PDF file,

doc2any.exe -debug C:\test.docx C:\out.pdf

can you convert your DOCX file to PDF file correctly by DOC to Any Converter Command Line application?

VeryPDF
==================================================
Thanks for your suggestion.

With the command line tool, I will be able to test the quality of the output from the PDF Generator.

As I'm going  to create a webservice, which will convert docX files to PDF files, I would like to test/see it wok with you com object.
Will this be possible?

Kind regards,
==================================================
Yes, this is possible, you can call doc2any.exe command line from your web service to convert DOCX files to PDF files easily, but you need give enough permission to MS Word DCOM, please refer to Example #9, Example #12 at following web pages for more information,

Converting Word Doc File to PDF Issue...

Here is the software you requested and the licensing information.

The web site does not specify a version number for the software. Please let me know once it is installed if it has a version number and what that number is so that I can complete my documentation.
=======================================
We just purchased the Doc To Any Converter after testing the evaluation version.

I tested the evaluation on one machine but loaded the licensed version on another machine.

The evaluation version worked just fine but now I am getting the following message on the machine with the licensed version:

I click "No" and the following dialog is displayed...and I verified using the Task Manager that the no other instance of Word is open.

and when I click OK...an empty PDF file (4 kb) is created.

When I open the PDF it displays the following.

Any ideas of what may be causing this?
==========================================
This problem is caused by your MS Word product, we suggest you may uninstall and reinstall MS office to try again, then you will get it work.

VeryPDF
==========================================
Here is another issue...

When I make a call to the doc2any.exe to convert a doc file, it leaves an instance of Winword open in memory.

Function Doc2AnyDOCtoPS(strFileIn As String, strFileOut As String)
  Dim shell As Object
  Dim strConvert As String
  Set shell = CreateObject("WScript.Shell")
  strConvert = "C:\Workdir\DocToAny\doc2any_cmd\doc2any.exe" & " " & strFileIn & " " & strFileOut
  shell.Run strConvert, 1, True
End Function

I need to call this function in a loop to convert doc files and the function leaves an instance of Word open for every conversion.

Please advise...
============================================

Please add –killoffice parameter to kill office process after conversion, for example,

doc2any.exe -killoffice 1 "C:\in.doc" C:\out.pdf

============================================
Thanks...

The "-useoffice 0" option also worked.
=============================================

Thanks for your great information, yes, "-useoffice 0" option does not use office to convert DOC to PDF file, so it is work fine too.

reversed color in Image to PDF Converter

Good morning,

we have just bought your product "Image2PDF" as you can see on above.

We have a problem during conversion when the page has a great percentage of black colour, the result is done in reversed color. (see attached file related this problem).

At disposal.

Pls urgently send us the solution how we can correctly convert the file.
====================================
We have created a new version to you, please download the new version from following URL,

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

you can add a -v parameter to convert your TIFF file to PDF file correctly, for example,

img2pdf.exe -v -o D:\temp4\input5.tif.pdf D:\temp4\input5.tif

-v parameter will not check the amount of black points.

How to call PDF Print Command Line from VBScript?

I have a registered version of PDFPrint, which we run via a script created batch file. However, this wont run on our 64bit server where it needs to for terminal server users. Is it possible to run PDFPrint from a VBScript ? I use VBScript in other parts of this database system and would like to move our PDF Print parts over to it as well. All it needs to do is pint a specific PDF file to a specific printer. We do use things like your overprint facility.

If PDF Print cant do it, what would you suggest?
============================================
Yes, you can call pdfprint.exe from your VBScript, that's no problem.

Please run your VBScript from administrator user account, then you will get it work, please to try.

VeryPDF
=============================================
The VBS script works well now 🙂 very pleased.

I do have two more questions for you though.

1/ The pdfprint takes like 6 seconds to print each individual job, which over 500 invoices takes an awful long time! Is there anyway to speed it up?
Here is the command line used:

x:\ffenics\wealdenad\pdfprint\pdfprint.exe "-$" "XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX" -printermargins -raster2 -wtype 0 -wo 20 -printer "\\waserver\InvoicePrinter"
"x:\ffenics\wealdenad\pdf\invoices\90000545.pdf" -wtext ""

There was a noticeable slow down when we had to add the -raster2 line to make the pdf's print correctly.

2/ Is it possible to use pdfprint to print a pdf file, with a text overlay but make the whole lot create a new pdf file, effectively merging the old file and overlay? We create pdf invoices, and currently send out copies with 'certified Copy Invoice' over them, but need to send that via email now too, and cant do the merge. So making a new pdf from old then sending that new one as an attachment is the idea. Did that make sense?

Regards
============================================

Thanks for your message, we haven't a good solution to improve the speed at the moment, however, you can use -shell or -shell2 parameter to try again, "-shell" or "-shell2" parameter will print your PDF files faster,

pdfprint.exe -shell C:\test.pdf
pdfprint.exe -shell2 C:\test.pdf

Our PDFPrint Command Line hasn't "overlay with another PDF file" function, your suggestion is great, we will try to implement this function in the future releases.
