html converter (htmltools)

Use htmltools to merge PDF files into one PDF file

I just downloaded the trial version of VeryPDF Split-Merge v3.0. Did a quick test of merging two pdfs. The resulting combined pdf had the correct # of pages, but every page was blank except for the red watermark which VeryPDF applied at the bottom of each page. I’m attaching one of the original pdfs (the other one is essentially the same).

I tested other PDF’s, and VeryPDF merged them correctly. So there must be something unusual about my original pdfs. They are generated by SQL Server Reporting Services. But Acrobat merges them with no problem.

This looks like the perfect tool for what I need, but I want to make sure it works before purchasing.
=============================
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused to you, we will research this problem asap.

In the meantime, you can download another product (HTML Converter Command Line) from our website to try, HTML Converter Command Line can merge PDF files too,

https://www.verypdf.com/htmltools/index.html#dl
https://www.verypdf.com/htmltools/htmltools.zip

VeryPDF HTML Converter can convert HTML files and web pages to PDF files, however, it can split and merge PDF files too, for example,

htmltools.exe  -burstpdf  "C:\201809.pdf"  "C:\out"
htmltools.exe  -mergepdf  "C:\001.pdf|C:\002.pdf|C:\003.pdf"  "C:\out.pdf"
htmltools.exe  -mergepdf  "C:\test\*.pdf"  "C:\out.pdf"

if your PDF file contains a password, you can deliver this password to htmltools.exe by "-openpwd" parameter,

htmltools.exe -mergepdf "D:\withpassword.pdf|D:\1.pdf" -openpwd "toto" D:\temp\out.pdf

If you wish merge lots of PDF files (more than 1000 PDF files) into one PDF file, please refer to following steps,

1. Please use following command line to get a txt file for all of your PDF files,

dir C:\mem2*.pdf /s/b > C:\file.txt

2. You can adjust the file's order in C:\file.txt file if necessary,

3. Please run following command line to do the batch merging.

htmltools.exe -mergepdf C:\file.txt C:\out.pdf

4. OK, you can merge all of these PDF files into one PDF file now.

htmltools.exe does split and merge your PDF files quickly, it can also compress the generated PDF files automatically during processing, we suggest you may download it from our website to try.

PCL to PDF Converter is unable to convert files on Windows 2003 Server 64-Bit

Is 2003 Server (64 bit) compatible with the PCL to PDF converter?

---------------------------
pcltool.exe - Application Error
---------------------------
The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click on OK to terminate the application.
---------------------------
OK

I got this by running the TestOverlay.bat file that gets included with the software.
I also get a similar error while running against my files.

I get nothing in the event viewer, nor does it look like a local log file gets generated.

I also tried the winpcl.exe utility to convert a file that works on an xp machine, and no luck.
==============================

You can disable DEP for "C:\Program Files\VeryPDF PCL Converter v2.0\pcltool.exe" application to try again, please refer to following web page for more information,

Pdf print support 64bit system

I have been using Pdfprint for some years, I upgraded my computer from xp 32bits to win7 64bits. When I use the command to list available trays for a printer, list is empty.
I tried the same on win7 32bits it works  fine.
Do pdfprint supports 64bits OS ?
=========================
Yes, pdfprint.exe does support 64bit system, we suggest you may run pdfprint.exe by administrator right to try again, can you get it work with administrator right?

VeryPDF
=========================
yes it works. (manually opened command prompt with admin right).
how to use admin right in batch file ?  (i am calling pdfprint in a home made .bat script).

thanks for the help

=========================
You can run a CMD window by administrator right first, and then run your .bat file in this CMD window, your .bat file will be given the administrator right too.

pdf printing tool that runs under Red Hat Linux

We’re in the market for a command line, pdf printing tool that runs under Red Hat Linux.

We have single Red-Hat Linux server running version 4.8. We have a manufacturing system running on this platform called PICKD3. It's a database system with a custom front end. We run a slew of reports from this system on a daily basis. Some of the reports have PDFs associated with them. These PDFs are usually 11" x 17" drawings created from our engineering department that need to be printed (resized) onto 8 1/2" x 11" paper. We're looking for some sort of tool that can be evoked via a shell script to resize and print these PDFs to a network printer.

Do you guys have such a tool?

Thanks for your reply.
===============================
Our PDFPrint Command Line product is support Windows system only, it is not support Linux system.

However, we are planning release a Linux version of PDFPrint Command Line application in the future, we will let you know after Linux version is ready.

also, you can try to use WinE to run pdfprint.exe on Linux system, we hoping WinE is a solution for you.

Wine can be downloaded from following web page,

PDF Form Filler OCX and Adobe Reader 10 (X) compatibility problems

On a Windows 7 computer with Acrobat 9.4 sometimes I get this message when trying to display an Acrobat form in the VeryPDF activeX control  Sometimes it will work and then if I try it again a few seconds later it displays this screenshot below.  Any ideas why?  Thanks.
=========================
This is a strange problem, are you using Adobe Reader 9.4? also, just for checking, we suggest you may update the Adobe Reader to latest version to try again, can you work fine with latest version?

VeryPDF
=========================
I actually downgraded to 9.4 because it was not working in the latest version 10.  Any ideas?
=========================
This problem is not caused by our product, I guess it may caused by special version of Adobe Reader, however, we will research this problem shortly, we will let you know if we have any solution for this problem, thanks for your patience.

VeryPDF
=========================
Please let me know what can be done because it seems to be happening in both Adobe 9 and 10 on their Windows 7 computers.
=========================
I have tried Adobe Reader 9.0 + pdfformocx.ocx on 64bit Windows 7 system, everything is fine, can you please let us know how can we reproduce your problem on 64bit Windows 7 system? Can you please tell us the step by step?

VeryPDF
=========================
I think they had Acrobat Reader X and I uninstalled it and then installed Acrobat Reader 9.4. I made sure they had the latest version of Java but I do not know if it was a 64 bit system.  There are three new computers that it is doing it on.  I'm not sure what to test next.
=========================
Thanks for your message, just for checking, do you have a way to reproduce this problem from your computer or your customer's computer now?

VeryPDF
=========================
If you are around tonight (pacific time GMT -08 / California time tonight) then I may have remote access to the computer that has this problem.

Let me know.
=========================
You can upgrade to latest version of PDF Form Filler OCX to try again.

We have lots of updates for the core PDF technology, these updates are available for all of our products which based on core PDF technology, include PDF Form Filler OCX and PDF Form Filler SDK and Advanced PDF Tools and other products.
