pdf split-merge

Pdfpg.exe doesn’t support *.pdf wildcard characters

I have pdf split-merge v3 working properly on one computer, but am trying to setup on another and having problems.  I have three licenses purchased, so hopefully that’s not at issue here.

I have installed the product, entered the registration code into the graphical interface.

I then run the pdfpg program from the command line:

Pdfpg mergeform f:\apps\am\batch\*.pdf f:\apps\am\batch\out.pdf

This command works on my test machine.  However, on the 2nd machine, it hesitates for half a second (or not at all) and simply returns to the command line without showing any progress or doing anything.
===================================
Pdfpg.exe doesn't support *.pdf wildcard characters, but you can use following two command lines to try again,

Dir f:\apps\am\batch\*.pdf /s/b > files.txt

Pdfpg files.txt f:\apps\am\batch\out.pdf

We hoping above two command lines will work fine to you.

Dash line problem in PCL to PDF Converter

I am writing to enquire about “PCL Converter”.
We have a process within our ERP, which generates a PCL file and sends it to the printer.
We would like to read this PCL file and turn it into a PDF file.
One of the prerequisites is that this should be done automatically, without user intervention, using the command line.

We would like to evaluate the tool "PCL Converter" and know the cost of the tool.
================================
Thanks for your message, our PCL Converter is USD125 per license, you can download and purchase it from our website directly,

https://www.verypdf.com/pcltools/index.html#dl

VeryPDF
================================
Would like to know if we could install this version on our server, that will be used by ERP !
================================
USD125 price is the end user license, it can't be used on a server, if you wish use it on your server, you need purchase server license, the cost of PCL Converter Server License is USD795 per srever, you can purchase it from our website directly,

https://www.verypdf.com/pcltools/index.html#dl

Thanks for reply.

We find a problem, using your solution.
Please, see the image bellow; the vertical lines highlighted in red, should be continuous and not dashed.
When we send the same PCL file to the printer, the document is generated correctly.

================================
Sorry, i was on vacation, returned today.
We don’t have Order ID, because I have not bought the product.
I am sending a PCL file sample for your review.

================================
We can see dash lines in your PCL file too, please refer to following screenshot, can you double check the lines in your PCL file carefully?

VeryPDF
================================
We cannot identify the error, because when we send the PCL to the printer, the document is printed correctly.
Dashed vertical lines in the printout, are normal (not hatched).
Only when using the PCL to PDF converter is that vertical lines are dashed.

================================
Maybe your printer has a special font to render the dash lines, our PCL Converter does use Windows font to render the dash lines, so it will show them as dash lines, this is normal.
However, we will reseach this problem continue, we will let you know as soon as we have any finding on this problem, thanks for your patience.

First of all, Thanks for fast response.
I installed pdfcamp-printer-x64.exe at 32bit windows, it dosn't installed.
I installed at 64bit windows too, it works very good.
so, I have questions.
1. Do you have v2.5 only for 64bit windows? If you have v2.5 for 32bit, I'd like to test again. 2. What is PDFcamp Printer (PDF Writer) Developer License means?  The 32bit and 64bit are different license or one license?
===========================

PDFcamp Printer x64 v2.5 is support both 32bit and 64bit systems, you can install it to both 32bit and 64bit systems without any problem.

Can you please let us know what problem did you encounter on your 32bit system?

===========================
I tested several computers and it(V2.5) was installed well.
But I found one case it was not installed(see attachment).

Other questions,
1. The SaveAs dialog box is shown under the main(working) window at windows 7.
- How to show the SaveAs dialog box topmost?
2. How to hide SaveAs dialog box?
- Set default folder and file name.
- Always overwrite existing file.
3. The V2.5 is not launch the PDF reader.
- How to launch the PDF reader?

Thanks.
====================================
>>1. The SaveAs dialog box is shown under the main(working) window at windows 7.
>>   - How to show the SaveAs dialog box topmost?

This is a minor problem, we will try to solve this problem in the next version of PDFcamp Printer, we will let you know after new version is available, thanks for your patience.

>>2. How to hide SaveAs dialog box?
>>   - Set default folder and file name.
>>   - Always overwrite existing file.

You can by following steps to set output filename to PDFcamp Printer,

1. Please run regedit.exe to open registry editor application first,

2. Search "pdfcamp" keyword in registry, set following items to every found item,

AutomaticDirectory=C:\out.pdf   Type is: "REG_SZ"
AutomaticOutput=1               Type is: "REG_DWORD"
AutomaticValue=2                Type is: "REG_DWORD"
AutoView=0                      Type is: "REG_DWORD"

3. OK, save it and exit regedit.exe application.

4. Please open "C:\Program Files\PDFcamp Printer (x64) v2.5\config.ini" file in notepad, set the "EmptyFileNameAfterPrinting" value to "0", save it, when you print a document to PDFcamp Printer, PDFcamp Printer will not clear the "AutomaticDirectory" value in registry,

[options]
EmptyFileNameAfterPrinting=0

After you modified all of above values, please print a document to PDFcamp Printer, then you will get a “C:\out.pdf” properly.

>>3. The V2.5 is not launch the PDF reader.
>>   - How to launch the PDF reader?

In above registry items, please set "AutoView=1", when you print a document to PDFcamp Printer, PDFcamp Printer will view the resultant PDF file automatically.

pdf to image converter

Our company has purchased a Developer License for PDF To Image Converter (COM).

Question 1: is the license limited by certain version? If so, what is the most recent version for the license we have?

At the moment of purchase, the version of 2.1.0.1 was current (pdf2image.dll). We have never updated it because it worked perfectly.
Currently we are developing an x64 version of our software. Since version 2.1.0.1 did not have x64 component, I have updated version 2.7.0.0 from your Web site.
Apparently, our license did not work. The Converter places watermark on all documents.

Question 2: Can I use the COM wrapper if the application is compiled for AnyCPU platform?

Our application is C# application (.NET Framework 3.5), compiled for AnyCPU platform. When I simply followed your samples regarding placing reference to COM class, everything works fine on x64 platform, but the code:
Activator.CreateInstance(Type.GetTypeFromProgID("PDF2Image.CPDF2Image"))
throws an error 0x8007000B on x86 platform.

Temporarily I have added a simple detection of x86/x64 platform and keep two parts of the code: on x86 it uses old-style DllImport methods of pdf2image.dll, while on x64 it uses COM wrapper. It seems to work, except the watermark problem. I’m wondering how I could remove the old code. Please advice.

Thank you for your help.
====================================================

Yes, the license is limited by certain version, the latest version of PDF2Image SDK is v2.6.0.1.

The latest version of PDF2Image SDK is support x64 system, the upgrade cost is 50% of purchase price, if you wish upgrade to latest version, please email to us your original Order ID, we will send the upgrade web page to you shortly.

Yes, with latest version of PDF2Image SDK product, you can compile your application with AnyCPU platform.

VeryPDF
====================================================

Thank you for the prompt answer.

Let me clarify, does the version 2.6.0.1 contain x64 COM wrapper?
If it does, there is no need to upgrade further; the functionality of the older version is quite enough.
In this case, would you please provide me with version 2.6.0.1? I found the Emetrix Order ID for proof of identity.

In case if version 2.6.0.1 does not yet have x64 support, I will have to do some re-evaluation before ordering an upgrade to v.2.7.0.0.
================================
Sorry for my mistake, I have checked with our engineer just now, the latest version is v2.7.0.0, but not the v2.6.0.1.

V2.7 is support x64 COM wrapper.

You can download the latest version of PDF2Image SDK from following URL,

http://www.globalpdf.com/pdf2tif/pdf2image_sdk_trial.zip

latest version of PDF2Image SDK does contain the 64bit COM interface, please refer to following web page for more information,
