Download and install

Download you can download the application from the download webpage. Then install it, you will get the free trial for limited times. Run the application, and you will the main interface of VeryPDF PDF Text Replacer as displayed in Figure 1. You will learn how to use the buttons in the following instructions.

Input and output PDF files

Click Add, and then select one or more PDF files and add them into the File List. The added PDF files will be processed in one batch.

Button Remove is for removing selected items in the file list, and button Clear is to remove all the items of the file list.

Buttons Up and Down are sorting the items in the file list. Because the replacement rules are based on the first PDF file in the list, these buttons are useful to move one PDF to the first position in the file list.

Set the Output Folder to save the modified PDF files.

Replace text in specified positions of specified pages

In the Replacement Settings panel, select tab According to Positions, and then you will see the setting interface as displayed in Figure 1.

Click the button Settings, and then you will see a Settings dialog as shown in Figure 2. In the left part of the dialog, you can view the first PDF file in the File List.

In the Locate Text panel, browse the PDF pages and select the text that needs to be replaced, then a button Add to the table will appear. Click the button, the page number, text position and text content will appear in the table on the right. Input the text that you will use to replace the original text, in the column of Replace with. As you see that the found text production in the determined position of Page 3 will be replaced with text sever. Here you can set the page range and stamp mode.

After setting all the text that will be replaced, click button Save, and then you will come to the interface shown in Figure 1.

In the main interface, keep the tab According to Positions activated and click the button Replace, then the selected text in the specified position of specified pages will be replaced with given text. This will not affect other words that are not in the specified positions and pages.

Replace text in specified positions with images

You can replace the text in specified position by images. The operations to specify the text, positions and page numbers are similar with those in the previous section.

The difference is shown in Figure 2. You should select Replace with Text when setting the replacement. Click the button Open Picture File in column Replace with, and select an image. This will replace the corresponding text with the selected image. In this situation (position specified), the image width and height will be automatically adjusted to keep the page layouts regular. However, you can customize the size by inputting numbers in the column of Width and Height.

Click Save to save the replacement rules of replacing text with image, and then click button Replace while tab According to Positions is activated.

Find and replace text in all selected PDF files

In the previous sections, the usages of replacing specified text are described. The following words are about how to find and replace any text in all selected PDF files.

In the main interface, select the tab According to Content, and then you will see the setting interface as shown in Figure 4. Select child tab Replace with Text, click Add Rule, and then you can input the text to find and the text to replace with. You can replace multiple texts by adding multiple rules. Click the number of the rule, and you may remove it by clicking Remove Rule. Keep the child tab Replace with Text activated, click button Replace, and the application will replace all the text in column Find what with text in column Replace with in all PDF files added in the File List. If the default replacement method does not work perfectly, please check the box Stamp text, and process the PDF files again.

Find and replace text with images

In the tab According to Content, select the child tab Replace with Images, click Add Rule, and then you can input the text that is to be replaced, in Find what. Click the button Open Picture File in Replace with and set the proper Image Width and Image Height. Now keep the child tab Replace with Image, click the button Replace, and then the found text of all added PDF files will be replaced by the corresponding images.
