PDF (Portable Document Format) is a
document exchange format developed by Adobe Systems that is widely used in the
exchange and publication of documents on the Internet. Adobe Acrobat is used for
creating PDF files and Adobe Reader is used for viewing PDF files. VeryPDF
Image2PDF OCR Product offer compatibility with the password-based security used
by Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader.
This function makes it possible to assign a password to encrypt PDF and
compressed PDF data after scanning images. Encryption is performed using RC4
private-key cryptography and data can be opened by entering a password. If only
certain people or departments are informed of passwords, the risk of hacking
from the Internet and information leaks can be significantly reduced. If data is
mistakenly sent to the wrong people, they are unable to view the data without
the password.
