Page breaker symbol in PDF to Text Converter

We purchased your Very PDF2TXT program about 6 months ago. And we are using its command line function in our own software to convert PDF’s to txt, and it is working well.

Another company that we told about this capability of your program wanted to try the same thing…that is, use the command line function of PDF2TXT in conjunction with our software, to convert PDFs to txt files. But they wanted to, before they purchased your PDF2TXT program, see if they could get it to operate as well as it works for us.  So, they downloaded your free TRIAL VERSION first, and entered the same commands in their copy of our software to try and convert PDFs into txt files.  But it doesn’t work correctly for them.

Question: Can they not use the command line function via your TRIAL VERSION to test your Very PDF2TXT’s program ability to convert PDFs to txt?  In other words, does your trial version not completely support command line functionality as well as our ‘purchased’ copy works?

Thank you.
===================================
The trial version does support command line operation too.

Please run following command line to convert your PDF file to text file to try again, (-breaker parameter will insert page breaker into converted .txt file)

"C:\Program Files\VeryPDF PDF2TXT v3.2\pdf2txt.exe" C:\in.pdf C:\out.txt -unicode -breaker

You can also run following command line to convert PDF file to text file without page breaker symbols,

"C:\Program Files\VeryPDF PDF2TXT v3.2\pdf2txt.exe" C:\in.pdf C:\out.txt -unicode

We hoping "-unicode" parameter will work better for you, please to try.

Our question stems from your email below of Feb 19…

When we run -unicode -breaker via the command line (just as you show below), the -unicode command prevents ANY page break symbol (even the default) from appearing on the outputted text.

Is there any information that you can provide as to why, ‘entering’ –unicode, prevents –breaker from working?

Thank you.
===================================
"-unicode -breaker" will insert 0x0C page breaker into output text file, if you can't get it work, please email to us your sample PDF file for checking, after we checked your sample PDF file, we will figure out a solution to you shortly.
