First, a command prompt window should be opened. This is because you can’t directly run a command line application by clicking its icon; instead, you need to call it from a command line window. Different ways can be employed to open a command prompt window. For example, in Windows XP, you can do as follows: click Start, click Run on the Start menu that is opened, type cmd in the Run dialog box that appears, and press Enter on the keyboard. The command prompt window appears on the screen and you can move to the next step.

Second, you should type a command line in the command prompt window and press Enter. Depending on the basic usage of the executable file doc2pdf.exe, your command line is supposed to be like the examples as below:

Usage: doc2pdf [options] <-i Document Files> [-o Output]

Examples:

  • "C:\docPrint Pro v5.0\doc2pdf.exe" -i C:\in.docx -o D:\out.jpg
  • "C:\docPrint Pro v5.0\doc2pdf.exe" -i C:\in.xlsx -o D:\out.jpg
  • "C:\docPrint Pro v5.0\doc2pdf.exe" -i C:\in.pptx -o D:\out.jpg
  • "C:\docPrint Pro v5.0\doc2pdf.exe" -i C:\*.pptx -o D:\*.jpg

The first three examples can convert one document created by Office to JPG respectively, and the last example can convert multiple documents of Office to JPG. As in the last example, "C:\docPrint Pro v5.0\doc2pdf.exe" calls the executable file; -i C:\*.pptx represents all the PPTX files stored in the root folder on disk C and D:\*.jpg represents the output files. After you type a command line according to your computer and your requirements, please press Enter.
