Convert Office to PNG by command line

I know an all-to-all document converter named VeryPDF Document Converter (docPrint Pro) which provides a command line application named docPrint Pro Command Line. I think this application is the right tool you are looking for.

To get docPrint Pro Command Line, you need to download Document Converter and install the software on your computer. When you open the installation folder docPrint Pro v5.0, you can find the executable file doc2pdf.exe there. This executable file is docPrint Pro Command Line. The goal of this article is to explain how to use docPrint Pro Command Line to convert documents created by Office to PNG images. Only two steps are enough to get the job done.

First, you are supposed to open the command prompt window. As a Windows XP user, I usually open the command prompt window as follows: click Start, click Run on the Start menu, type cmd or CMD in the Run dialog box and press the Enter key. But you may be a Windows 7 or Vista user. If so, please do as follows: click Start, type cmd or CMD in the Search box on the Start menu and press Enter. Anyway, as soon as the command prompt window is opened, you can move to the next step.

The second step is to type a command line on the command prompt window to call the executable file doc2pdf.exe and command it to convert Office to PNG from the command prompt window. The command line must be in accordance with the basic usage of the executable file:

Usage: doc2pdf [options] <-i Document Files> [-o Output]

The following are some examples:

  1. "C:\docPrint Pro v5.0\doc2pdf.exe" -i C:\*.docx -o D:\*.png
  2. "C:\docPrint Pro v5.0\doc2pdf.exe" -i C:\*.xls -o D:\out\*.png
  3. "C:\docPrint Pro v5.0\doc2pdf.exe" -i C:\in.xlsx -o D:\out.png
  4. "C:\docPrint Pro v5.0\doc2pdf.exe" -i C:\in.pptx -o D:\out.png

As in the last example, "C:\docPrint Pro v5.0\doc2pdf.exe" is the path of the executable file. -i C:\in.pptx stands for the input file. The input path C:\in.pptx must follow –i. -o D:\out.png refers to the output file. The output path D:\out.png must follow -o. The path of each file might be different according to your computer. You should type a command line depending on your requirements. And after that, press Enter.

This is the method that you can use to convert documents created by Office to PNG files. You can also use a similar way to convert Office to other image files. To see more features of docPrint Pro Command Line, please visit http://verypdf.com/artprint/index.html
