How to save ink when printing documents?

When you print many documents with printer, do you want to save ink? If so, you will get some useful information about have to save your printer ink in this article.

At first, you should know which kind of application you should use. If you have never heard of Document Converter, you will get some acquaintance to it.Document Converter is an application which can convert any printable documents to image formats.

There are three internal applications in Document Converter—virtual printer application, GUI application and command line application. To save ink, you should choose the virtual printer docPrint surely for it is designed to scale page size and combine several pages to one single sheet. If you want to convert documents to images in batch, you can choose the GUI application which is good at batch conversion. If you are a software developer, please choose the command line application as your tool.

To use docPrint, you should download Document Converter at https://www.verypdf.com/artprint/docprint_pro_setup.exe and install it on your computer. You are able to see docPrint in the printer list by clicking “Start”—“Printers and Faxes”. Please see the steps below for you to save ink and paper.

For example, if you want to print a word document with several pages, please print the document to docPrint at first. You should open the document and click “File”—“Print” or use the hot key “Ctrl” + “P” to open the “Print” dialog box in which you should choose “docPrint” as current printer in “Printer” combo box. Then please click on “Print” button. If docPrint is the default printer on your computer, you can right click the Word document and click “Print” option in the dropdown list to run docPrint directly.

Then you will see the docPrint main window. Please see it in Figure1. To save ink, you should click the button framed in the toolbar to open “Ink Saving Options” dialog box in which you are able to set some parameters for saving ink. Please see “Ink Saving Options” dialog box in Figure2.

You should check the “Enable Ink Saving function” option to make all the parameters in the dialog box available. In “Ink Saving Rate” edit box, you can input the ink saving proportion and in “Ink Saving Mode” combo box, there are four selectable modes for your choice. Then please click on “OK” button.

Then you should save the target file by clicking “File”—“Save as” or clicking “File name” button in the toolbar to open the “Save As” dialog box. You can also press “Ctrl”+ “S” to open “Print” dialog box which is shown in Figure3. You need to choose the location for the target file in “Save in” combo box, input the name for the target file in “File name” edit box, select the output format for the target file in “Save as type” combo box and click “Save” button.
