Add hyperlink to PDF page

Via using the application PDF Editor, you will be able to add hyperlink for some page of your PDF document. After reading this article, you will know all the details about this kind of work. Before working, you need to download the application tool at first.

When you setup PDF Editor, you can create a desktop icon of it. Then you will be able to find and use the application easily when you need it. If you don’t like too much icons on your desktop, you can also not choose to create a desktop icon and open PDF Editor by clicking “Start”—“All Programs”—“VeryPDF PDF Editor v2.6”—“VeryPDF PDF Editor”.

On your computer screen, you will see the main window of PDF Editor after you open it. Then you need to add the PDF document which you want to edit. Please click “File”—“Open” or click “Open” button in the toolbar. The dialog box “Open” will pop up, in which you can select the PDF document and click “OK” button to add it to PDF Editor. You can also use the hot key “Ctrl”+ “O” to open this dialog box.

The PDF document will appear in the document pane of PDF Editor. Now you are allowed to add hyperlink for the document. PDF Editor support three kinds of hyperlinks: some page of the current document, a whole file or a webpage. Please click “Edit Link” button in the toolbar or click “Tools”—“Link Tool” to open the link status. When the mouse cursor turns cross-shaped, please press and hold the left button of your mouse and draw and rectangle to select the characters that you want to add hyperlink just like it shown in Figure 1.

Just right click the area framed by the rectangle and click “Properties” option in floating item. The “Link Properties” dialog box will pop up and you can add any one of the three supported hyperlink for the PDF document in “Link Action” group box.

If you check “Open a page in this document”, you can link the characters you select to some page of the current document. The page number you input in “Page” edit box can not pass the total pages of this document. You can also choose the zoom mode for the linked page as “Actual Size”, “Fit Page”, “Fit Visible”, “Fit Width”. When you check “Open a file” option, you can click “Browse” button to search for a file you want to link on your computer. The last one is to check “Open a web page” option. In “Address” text box, please input the URL that you want to link to.

In “Appearance” group box, you can set the appearance for the hyperlink frame such as the “Link Type”, “Line Thickness”, “Link Style”, “Color” and so on. If everything has been done, please click “OK” button to close this dialog box and click “Save” button in the toolbar or click “File”—“Save” to save the changes you have made.

The last thing you need to do is to create a new PDF file. Please click “File”—“Save as” to open “Save as” dialog box in which you can name and specify the path for the new file.
