How to print PDF and specify name of the user to do the work?

If you own big printing company, this article will be quite helpful for you. In printing company, there will be many staff for printing job. Here I will show you how to print PDF file and specify name of user who do the work. By this way, you do not need to tell worker one by one to specify work. Simply specify the work to the user then job assignment could be done.

Step 1. Download PDFPrint Command Line

  • This is Windows application and for now it can not work under Mac and Linux.
  • When downloading finishes, there will be a zip file. You need to unzip it then you can check its elements and call it from MS Dos Windows.

Step 2. Print PDF and specify name of the user to do the work.

  • When you use this software, please refer to the usage and examples.
  • Here is the usage for your reference: pdfprint.exe [options] [Options] <PDF Files>
  • When print PDF and specify name of the user, please refer to the following command line templates.
  • pdfprint.exe -jobdocname "test.doc" -jobusername "MyName" C:\input.pdf
    By this command line, we can document name of print job as "test.doc" and specify worker name as "MyName". Then input the full path of the input PDF file.
    pdfprint.exe -useownerservice -jobdocname "test.doc" -jobusername "MyName" C:\input.pdf
    By this command line, you can force to use owner service for all systems and specify name of the user and workers. Then input the full path of input PDF file.
    Related parameters:

    -jobusername <string>        : this parameter can help you specify the name of the user who owns the print job.
    -jobdocname <string>         : by this parameter, we can specify document name of print job.
    -ownerservicename <string>   : when you need to specify the name of OwnerService on Windows Server 2008, please add this parameter.
    -useownerservice             : if you need to force to use owner service for all systems, please add this parameter.
    -deleteownerservice <string> : when you need to remove the OwnerService from Windows, please add this parameter.
    -silent                      :when you need to print PDF files silently, please add this parameters.
