I want to run Docprint Converter on a shared printer. Need to print from 2 computers to that printer with hookprinter to create a pdf and text. What version do I need?

I downloaded Pro 8 and it only work on the computer that it was installed. Also does it work on a VM?

docPrint Pro v8.0 does support VM (VMWare) system, so you can install it to a vmware system to hook printers properly.

Please notice, the HookPrinter Layer does support capture all print jobs which sent from local system, it can't capture the print jobs which outside this system, for example, if you print a document from another Windows System to another network printer, the HookPrinter Layer in current system can't capture anything, because those print jobs are not go through current system at all.

After you install docPrint Pro v8.0, you can run following command line to configure hookprinter layer,

"C:\Program Files (x86)\docPrint Pro v8.0\artprint.exe" -hookprinter

You can set the output folder for captured PDF and Text files, after you install the HookPrinter Layer, the HookPrinter Layer will be run at background, when you print a document to arbitrary printer, the captured PDF and Text files will be created in the predefined folder.
