Customer Query: Problem with Blank Images Not Importing in VeryPDF Image to PDF Converter
Dear Support,
First, I want to express my appreciation for your simple and easy-to-understand product. Good design is rare these days, and your software is a welcome exception!
However, I encountered what I suspect may be an undocumented feature or a bug. While bates stamping some images to combine them into a PDF, I found that any images that were blank (as shown in the attached file) did not import into the PDF. This was odd, and I ended up using Adobe to add them manually, but I was hoping you could help me resolve the issue.
The images were scanned with a Kodak 620 scanner using Kodak Capture Software, resulting in single-page Group 4 TIFFs. I used the Kodak Imaging Object to open each file and apply the Bates stamping before passing them to a directory for verification. After that, I used the VeryPDF Image to PDF Converter to convert them into a PDF.
Page number 177 is attached to give you a better understanding of the issue.
It seems that every image that was blank (around 3k in size) failed to be imported into the PDF. Can you help me with this?
Thanks for your quick response!

Answer:
Hello [Customer],
Thank you for your detailed description of the issue and for your kind words about our software! We are happy to assist.
It sounds like the issue you're encountering with blank images not importing into the PDF could be related to how the VeryPDF Image to PDF Converter processes certain image formats, particularly blank images that contain no visible content. The software might be interpreting these blank images as empty files or as files that do not meet the minimum criteria for inclusion in the PDF.
To resolve this issue, here are a few things you can try:
-
Verify the Image Content: Ensure that the blank images, although empty, are valid TIFF files. Sometimes, even blank images can have metadata or invisible elements that may interfere with the conversion process.
-
Update to the Latest Version: Please make sure you are using the latest version of VeryPDF Image to PDF Converter. There may have been updates or bug fixes that address issues with blank or nearly-empty images.
-
Use Alternative Image Formats: If the issue persists with TIFF images, you could try converting the blank images to another format (such as PNG or JPG) and then attempt the conversion again. Some formats may handle blank or nearly-empty content differently.
-
Check Image Resolution: In some cases, images with very low resolution (like 3k in size) may be overlooked during the conversion process. You might want to try increasing the resolution or checking if any settings in the Kodak Capture Software could influence how the images are being scanned.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, please feel free to provide us with additional sample files, and our support team will take a closer look to investigate further.
We appreciate your patience and look forward to helping you resolve this!
Best regards,
