PNM is the bitmap image created in the Portable Any Map format, which was designed to handle several types of portable monochrome, grayscale, and color images. PNM format may include raster graphic data in a .PBM, .PGM, or .PPM format. The format may be stored using binary data or ASCII text. PNM files store one image and do not use compression.

1. You should run the printer driver first. Please open an Excel document and click “File”—“Print” to open “Print” dialog box in which you can set the printer as “docPrint” in “Printer” combo box, then click “Print” button. You can also use the hot key “Ctrl”+ “P” to open “Print” dialog box. If you have set docPrint as the default printer, please right click the Excel document and click “Print” option to run docPrint directly.
2. Open “Save As” dialog box. You will see the interface of docPrint on you screen. In this interface, you can see some function buttons in the toolbar and a small dialog box on the right. If you want to convert excel to pnm only, you can cut to the chase to open “Save As” dialog box. There are three ways given, you can click “File” and click “Save as” in the dropdown list. Or you can click the “Save File” button in the toolbar. You can also use the hot key “Ctrl”+ “S” to open “Save As” dialog box.
3. Please see the “Save As” dialog box in Figure1. To complete the conversion from excel to pnm, you should do as follows. Please choose a location for the target files in “Save in” combo box, input the name for the target files in “File name” edit box, specify the right output format for the target files in “Save as type” combo box and then please click “Save” button.
