DIB which is short for Device Independent Bitmap is the generic Windows or OS/2 bitmap graphic. It is similar to a .BMP file, but DIB file has different header information. The format supports 1, 4, 8, and 24 bits per pixel if the image is uncompressed and 4 and 8 bits per pixel if the image uses RLE compression.

- Run the printer driver.
About this step, you should consider two kinds of situations. One is the the docPrint is the default printer in the computer. So you can right click the Excel document and click “Print” option to run docPrint directly. The other one is the contrary situation. Then you should open the Excel document and click “File”—“Print” to open “Print” dialog box in which you can set “docPrint” as the printer in “Printer” combo box and click “Print” to close the dialog box. You can also use the hot key “Ctrl”+ “P” to open “Print” dialog box.
- Open “Save As” dialog box.
You will see the docPrint interface on the screen. There is no need to care about the buttons in the toolbar and the small dialog box on the right if you want to convert xls to dib only without setting any parameters. Please try to open “Save As” dialog box. You can click “File”—“Save as” or click the “Save File” button in the toolbar. - Save the target files.

You will see a green progress bar appear at the bottom of docPrint interface. When the conversion from xls to dib is over, the bar will be empty again. Since DIB files are saved in a standard bitmap format, they can be opened by most image editors and image viewing applications.
