Registration problem to docPrint Pro SDK product

I have tested docPrint Pro with our application and see better performance with docPrint Pro compared to the PDFcamp Printer, even with the trial version message popping up for each document. I would like to exchange our PDFcamp Printer Driver Developer license for a docPrint Pro Developer license.

I have two issues.

1) How do I register docPrint if I am using it as a printer driver and not with the SDK? I tried to register it as described in this knowledge base article,

However I still get the trial version message.

I uninstalled and reinstalled docPrint Pro with the installer from the link provided in the previous email. Still receive the trial version message.

Using SysInternals Process Monitor, I verified that the RegisterNo key is being read successfully. Is the RegisterName string required? Does it need to be a specific value? I assigned it our product name just to give it a value and I still get the trial version message.

Is there something else that needs to be set?

2) My program uses the Windows EnumPrinters() function to get a list of printers and identifies docPrint printers by Driver Name ("doc PDF Driver"). For the additional printers added using either PDFConfigGui.exe or the BatchAddPrinters.bat I also determined that the printer's port name ( "VeryPDF2" ) is used as a Registry key under the Software\verypdf\pdfcamp\ key to set the AutomaticDirectory, AutomaticOutput, and AutomaticValue settings for the printer.

However the original printer created by the installer is using the settings in the Software\verypdf\pdfcamp key instead of the settings in a port name (VeryPDF1) sub key. How do I determine which printer is using the settings in the Software\verypdf\pdfcamp key? I do not think that assuming the VeryPDF1 port is using the pdfcamp key is a safe assumption.

If you can't register docPrint in GUI version, you may register docPrint product by manual, please refer to following steps,

1. Please download and install docPrint Pro v5.0 from following URL first,

3. Please run "regedit" in Command Line window to open registry editor, set "RegisterNO" value to following items in registry,

You can click right button under above keys, create a "RegisterNO" key with "string" type, set the value to "Your License Key".

4. After you set "Your License Key" to these fields, please print a document to docPrint PDF Driver, then you will not be prompted by registration message box and a demo watermark in output PDF files.

The BMP File Format belongs to Bitmap image, is a Raster graphics image file format used to store digital images, independently of the display device (such as a graphics adapter), especially on Microsoft Windows and OS/2 operating systems. It can store 2D digital images of arbitrary width, height, and resolution, both monochrome and color, in various color depths, and optionally with data compression and color profiles. While most BMP files have a relatively large file size due to lack of any compression many BMP files can be considerably compressed with lossless data compression algorithms such as ZIP. So if you want store a lot of BMP images, they will take very large space in the Disk, if we convert the BMP Files to PDF files, the situation would be different.

Then I will show you a way of converting the BMP Files to PDF file.

Printing A3 PDF document with A3 tray

I am currently developing some software for a customer who wishes to send PDF documents of various standard sizes to specific trays/printers. All is working well except the printing of A3 PDF documents. I send a command line such as the one below, which should print the specified PDF document from tray 3 of the printer. The document is 16.54x11.69 inches (420x297 mm), and tray 3 of the printer is loaded with A3 stationery. The customer tells me that their printer, a Ricoh 8200, shows the message "change tray 3 to A4".

The command I am sending is:

pdfprint –paper pdf –chgbin 260 –printer \\server\printer \\server\folder\A3Document.pdf

Changing the document name and chgbin value in this command line works perfectly for the various A4 sized PDF documents, I just cannot get the A3 documents to print from the A3 tray.

Am I missing something, or might this be an issue with the customer’s printer ?

What is tray number for the A3 paper? You need set correct tray number for A3 paper to -chgbin parameter, we assume the tray number of A3 paper is 261, you can use following command line to print your A3 PDF file with A3 tray,

pdfprint -paper pdf -chgbin 261 –printer \\server\printer \\server\folder\A3Document.pdf

Thanks, but I have got it working.
It seems that the "-paper pdf" part of the command line was the problem, for the printer in question, anyway. I replaced "-paper pdf" with "-paper 8" and the A3 document printed on paper from the correct tray. I don't understand why this should make a difference, given that the dimensions of the PDF document being printed match those of A3 paper ... ?

"-paper pdf" will retrieve paper size from PDF file and set the paper size to target printer, it will use customized paper size type, "-paper 9" is the standard paper size,

Maybe the Tray Selection function in your printer is support standard paper size only, it is not support customized paper size type, we will try to convert “customized paper size” to “standard paper size” in the next version of PDFPrint Command Line application.

"C:\Documents and Settings\admin\Local Settings\Temp\htmltools\htmltools.exe" stands for the path of htmltools.exe and it is the key element in the whole convershion.

"C:\Documents and Settings\admin\Desktop\Google.mht" is the path of source file.

"C:\Documents and Settings\admin\Desktop\New Folder\google.pnm" is the path of target file,which you can specify by yourself as your will.But if you don’t name the target file,the file will be converted to pdf file by default.You should pay attention to this point.

Step3.Then you can browse your new created pnm file by some kind of viewer in the location C:\Documents and Settings\admin\Desktop\New Folder.Please see Figure4.
