How to convert PDF to ePub and set ePub margin with command line

The command line application VeryPDF PDF to ePub Converter allows you to convert PDF to ePub and set ePub margin.

Secondly, please open the MS-DOS command prompt window in which you can type commands.

Thirdly, please refer to the command line template to type your commands in the command prompt window.

epubconverter [options] <pdf-file> [<epub-file>]

Where,

  • epubconverter: call the program.
  • [options]: set parameters to control the conversion.
  • <pdf-file>: import the PDF file you want to convert.
  • [<epub-file>]: export the created ePub file.

To set ePub margin, please use the following options:

  • -mt <int>: set the top margin of ePub file (unit is pt)
  • -mb <int>: set the bottom margin of ePub file (unit is pt)
  • -ml <int>: set the left margin of ePub file (unit is pt)
  • -mr <int>: set the right margin of ePub file (unit is pt)

For example,

D:\verypdf-pdf-to-epub-converter\epubconverter.exe -mt 8 -mb 20 -ml 10 -mr 15“D:\media.pdf” “E:\media.epub”

This example is to convert media.pdf to media.epub with top margin, bottom margin, left margin and right margin as 8pt, 20pt, 10 pt and 15pt respectively.

Lastly, after typing the commands, please remember to press the Enter button on the keyboard to run the commands.

Several seconds later, you can see the created ePub file in the output folder.
