Paper size issue in PDF print SDK

Hello Support,

We us very PDF print in our application to print PDF files generated by a CAD System.
These files can have more than one pages, but every page can have his own papersize A0 to A4, landscape or portrait.
As I test with print vary PDF print with option -paper pdf looks only for the size of the first page all othe pages get the same paper size is this true, or how is a easy solution for this problem?

Usage: pdfprint.exe [options] [Options] <PDF Files>

-paper <string        : paper size to printer
pdf    : retrieve paper size from PDF file
number : standard paper size
others : user defined paper size

When we print the same PDF file as a single job from acrobat reader with option size from pdf flies then all pages get the correct paper on the printer.
==============================
In the attachment I send you an example with a drawing whitch inclue 5 page each has his own size A0 -A4 (ISO).

Normally size A0 - A2 will be printed on a plotter  A3 - A4 on a laserprinter with both papercases.

Often all pages A0-A3 should be resize to A3 on the laser printer.

When we print the file with Acrobat reader the the size of the page is known and the resize factor for all the sizes will calculated for each page.
==============================
Thanks for your message, you may run following command line by PDFPrint SDK to try again,

pdfprint.exe D:\temp\3dskizze.pdf

PDFPrint SDK will resize the PDF pages to fit the target printer's paper size automatically.

Will you work fine with above simple printing options from your source code?

questions about PDF SDK

Dear Sirs,

If we purchase the "pdf_editor_toolkit_pro"does this include the functionality of the "pdf2txt_sdk"? Or are these two SDKs totally separate?

We like all of your library functions and would rather purchase all of them at once if this is possible. However we only *NEED* the "pdf2txt_sdk" at this time.

For the "pdf_editor_toolkit_pro" I see there is a "pdfx64_dll". We want this because we are releasing 32-bit and 64-bit version for our product.

However for the "pdf2txt_sdk" I don't see a 64-bit version of the DLL.

Is there a 64-bit version for this DLL somewhere?

Sincerely,

"pdf_editor_toolkit_pro" and "pdf2txt_sdk" are two different products, you need purchase them respectively.

>>For the "pdf_editor_toolkit_pro" I see there is a "pdfx64_dll". We want this because we are releasing 32-bit and 64-bit version for our product.

"pdf_editor_toolkit_pro" can be called from 64bit application, that's no problem.

The 64bit version of PDF2TXT SDK product is ready, we haven't release it to our website yet, however, if you have already purchased PDF2TXT SDK product, please email to us your Order ID, we will send the latest version of PDF2TXT SDK to you shortly, the latest version of PDF2TXT SDK does contain both 32bit and 64bit DLL Libraries.

How to print AutoCAD DXF file to PDF file?

You may want to view your dxf files when there is not a AutoCAD in your computer.So you can print dxf to pdf files for your convenient use.

purpose of Converting dxf to pdf :

  1. Distributing one’s drawings over the internet;
  2. Viewing/Printing one’s drawings without the need of AutoCAD.

If one sends dwg files to a client without AutoCAD he will not be able to view them. So many people first print dxf to pdf files.  Output PDF files can be viewed on any computer with the help of PDFcamp Printer which is smaller in size and suitable for converting.

Step 1.Open the files you want to print.

Step 2.Click “File”—“Print”.

NOTE:The hot key “Ctrl”+”P”doesn’t work here.

Step 3:Set all the parameter you need and print every dxf file as single pdf file or an integrated one.Of course you should save and name the file.

That is dxf to pdf.May you happy printing!

html converter (htmltools)

To Convert your image in emf to tiff format

TIFF, Tagged Image File Format, also equal to TIF, is an image storing format created by Aldus company and now with rights controlled in Adobe System. TIFF contains many information in its file header tags, such as size, data arrangement, compressing scheme, definition, etc. TIFF allows for a more flexible header information set. It contains not only the basic tags of information for an image file but also tags of information about copyright, and even more customized tags defined by specific applications. This is much different from other image storing formats. TIFF can also support more than one image compression methods by indicating them in dedicated tags. Considering many other image formats support only one compression method for one format, TIFF overmatches them in this.

Here is method of converting your image of emf to tiff format with the VeryPDF HTML Converter Command Line.

You can type commands like these below into your MS-DOS command prompt windows to achieve the conversion form emf to tiff:

D:\htmltools\htmltools.exe D:\htmltools\verypdf.emf D:\htmltools\verypdf.tiff <Enter>,

in which “D:\htmltools\htmltools.exe” includes the path and the name of the conversion tool with the path “D:\htmltools\” indicating where the tools is installed, “D:\htmltools\verypdf.emf” specifies the path and name of the source image file and “D:\htmltools\verypdf.tiff” tells the conversion tool where to store the converted image using what name. The target format is given by the extension name “tiff” specified in the second argument string, “D:\htmltools\verypdf.tiff”.

Here presents the entire process:

The converted tiff image can be viewed and edited by any supported applications, just like the following snapshot:
