How can I control duplex feature in pdf print command line application?

I don't think this is accurate statement. I can control input trays using pdfprint.exe,Let me explain what I mean by by Input and Output bins.

Input Bins / Trays :-  These are the trays or bins where paper is loaded before printing and it is common for standard printers like HP or Dell to have more than one tray.

Output Bins : - These are the slots where printed documents are collected by users and not many printers has this multiple output bins.

And I tested your pdfprint which can control trays (input bins) using -chgbin or -papersource.

My question is relating to output bins or slots from where users can collect the documents.

Please let me know how we can do this.
================================
Thanks for your message, pdfprint command line tool hasn't an option to control the "Output Bins" for your printer, we will try to add more options for "Output Bins" in the future releases, we will let you know after this features is available.

Please see below some of the printers we have.
Mainly HP LaserJet9040 has output bins.

Name    Model        Tray     Mailbin
Dispatch    Lexmark T630        1    None
Main B    Lexmark T632        2    None
Main    HP LaserJet 9040        4    8
MainC_new    Xerox WorkCentre 7120        4    None
SDACCT    HP LaserJet 4250         3    None
================================
Thanks for your message, is “Mailbin” equal to "Output Bins" in your previous emails? Should we pay attention to “HP LaserJet 9040” printer driver only? Because only the “HP LaserJet 9040” printer contains Mailbin, the other printers are not contain “Mailbin”.

VeryPDF
================================
Mail bins are equivalent to input bins. Even though our current location has only HP Laserjet 9040 with output bins, We are expecting your product works with any other printer ( just like currently your product with input bins / trays works with most of the printers in market) . Please confirm on this.
================================
Thanks for your message, because we haven’t a printer which support output bins, so I think the “debug” is a problem to us, we are unable to “debug” and “test” this function easily.

Also, I have found the “HP LaserJet 9040” printer driver on HP’s web site,

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesId=410000&prodNameId=404868&swEnvOID=228&swLang=8&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=hv-23762-7

I will download it and test it shortly.

Hi,

I tried this and it is working fine with duplex loading ,but it loaddev is ignoring output bin setting completely .We have a complicated requirement to print same report under different conditions like based on user login we need to send output to a specific output bin and control duplex printing along with input bin(tray)s.

How we can do this using pdfprint ?
=============================
In the step #2, you can set "Duplex" and "Bin" options in printing dialog, after you click “OK” button, "Duplex" and "Bin" options will be stored to C:\file.dat file, then you can use -loaddevmode option to load "Duplex" and "Bin" options from C:\file.dat file and apply them to target printer during PDF printing.

Suggestions on scaling pdf

Hello,

Could you point me to a documentation or example on how to change the size of one page or compress the content of one page to 80%... Basically what we want to do is put a little stamp on the on a page. That works fine however sometime it covers(overlap) the actual contents of the page so  we were wondering If we could just increase the size of one page or compress the content to 80% so we can enough white-space in 20% area where we can put the stamp.

We have two licenses  - PDFToolkitPro and ImageToPdf

Let me know your thoughts
============================

Hi,

You can use Advanced PDF Tools v2.0 to resize page contents, Advanced PDF Tools v2.0 can be downloaded from following web page,

https://www.verypdf.com/pdfinfoeditor/index.html#dl

you can use following options to change the paper size to 80% of original,

Thank so much.  I had a question on the licensing of Advanced PDF Tools v2.0.  My client currently has server license for PDFToolkitPro and imageToPdf.  Do they need to buy separate license for Advanced PDF Tools.  If so, could you give some discount? They assumed that stamping solution should cover the scaling since stamp could overlap and I had only recommended the PDFTookLitPro without realizing that they will need another product.  I will have to buy this from my budget. So would appreciate if I can get some discount.

My only suggestions would be to have a one enterprise licensing price instead of charging separately for each modules. That way the client and partners can better estimate the total cost.
========================================
Yes, they need to buy separate license for Advanced PDF Tools.

We will provide the discount information to you via email shortly.

Thanks. This link only shows the UI. We need the command line which we can call from asp.net
========================================
I had a question on OCR. What is the best way to OCR a page when you use VerySplitMergePDFEx. We use VerySplitMergePDFEx to merge first page of every files in a directory but before merged we would like to OCR the page if possible
========================================
Thanks for your message, VerySplitMergePDFEx() function doesn’t support OCR function, however, you may download PDF OCR Compressor Toolkit (SDK) from our partner’s web page to try,

http://www.imagepdf.com/pdf-ocr-compressor-sdk.htm

You can use PDF OCR Compressor Toolkit (SDK) product to convert your scanned PDF files to searchable PDF files first, then you can call VerySplitMergePDFEx() function to merge or split the PDF files again, we hoping PDF OCR Compressor Toolkit (SDK) product will helpful to you, you may download it to try.

Convert HTML to PDF file at special width and height

Hi,

When I convert the image using these options you mentioned, I can't seem to get it to work.

Per your recommendation, here is the command line that I am using.

"C:\Program Files (x86)\docPrint Pro v5.0\doc2pdf.exe" -i C:\2_Convert\ANTHONY_TEST2\ANTHONY_TEST2.html -o C:\2_Convert\ANTHONY_TEST2\ANTHONY_TEST2.Tif -b 1 -f 8 -r 300

See below for results:

The Properties on the LEFT are from your previous application. (HTML2IMAGE.EXE)

The Properties on the RIGHT are from your current DocPrint Pro v5.0 product.

Notice the dimensions are different.

How do I get DocPrint Pro v5.0 to output a TIF image with the dimensions 850x1100 (like the previous product did).

clip_image002

==============================

You can run following command line to convert your HTML file to TIFF file at 850x1100 pixel width and height,

"C:\Program Files\docPrint Pro v5.0\doc2pdf.exe" -i https://www.verypdf.com -o D:\temp\out.tif -b 1 -f 8 -r 72x66 -w 850 -h 1100

How to resize JPG image files in batch by command line?

VeryPDF docPrint Pro v5.0 has a great feature which can be used to batch resize your JPG and other image formats on the fly. You can download and install docPrint Pro v5.0 from VeryPDF website first,

https://www.verypdf.com/artprint/index.html#dl

after you installed it, you can launch a cmd window, run following command line to batch resize your JPG files in "D:\temp\pic\" folder,

for %F in (D:\temp\pic\*.jpg) do "C:\Program Files\docPrint Pro v5.0\imgconv.exe" -sample 100x100 "%F" "%~dpnF-thumbnail.jpg"

Above command line will preserve the image aspect ratio, so it may not produce images that are exactly 100x100. To force this to happen, modify the original command to by placing an exclamation point at the end of the desired resolution:

for %F in (D:\temp\pic\*.jpg) do "C:\Program Files\docPrint Pro v5.0\imgconv.exe" -sample 100x100! "%F" "%~dpnF-thumbnail.jpg"

OK, you will get lots of new JPG files which size are 100x100 pixel.

imgconv.exe is a free tool in the docPrint Pro v5.0, you can use it free, you needn't pay for it.
