htmltools - repeatable table headers during HTML to PDF Conversion

Hi,

We are using html2any to convert HTML documents into PDF. Recently we purchased htmltools and experiencing few issues. First and most important issue is repeatable table headers. We need to repeat table header on each page of PDF. It works fine at html2any at IE mode. But it doesn't work at all at WebKit mode. We are using next command line:

htmltools.exe -$ XXXXXXXXXXXXX -margin 75x75x75x75 -width 612 -height 792 -webkit2 "d:\test_header.html" "d:\test_header.pdf"

HTML contains:

<style type="text/css">
table {font-family: Helvetica, Arial, Verdana; font-size: 24pt
}
@media print {
    thead {display: table-header-group;}
}
thead { display: table-header-group; }
tfoot { display: table-row-group; }
tr { page-break-inside: avoid; }
</style>
...
Column 1
Column 2
Column 3
...

image

image

It works fine at Chrome (open Print Preview) but not at htmltools. We can send a full html document if required.

The second issue we have - Page Numbers at footer. We can't see any parameters related to this at documentation. We see only watermarks, but there is no page numbers. It there any way to print page numbers at footer?

Footers & Headers works fine at html2any at IE mode. But we can't use it as this causing some other critical issues.

Thanks.

Hi,

We attached archive which contains:
1. test_header.html - example of html
2. test_header.pdf - PDF produced by htmltools
3. command line.txt - command line which was used to generate PDF
4. chrome_print_preview.png - screenshot of print preview at Chrome

Thanks.

We finished a new version of htmltools.exe application to you, please download the new version from this URL,

http://www.verypdf.com/app/html-converter/try-and-buy.html#cmd
http://www.verypdf.com/htmltools/htmltools.zip

After you download it, you could run following command line to convert your HTML file to PDF file,

htmltools.exe -$ XXXXXXXXXXXXX -footer-right "Page [page] of [toPage]" -margin 75x75x75x75 -width 612 -height 792 -webkit test-tableheader.html _out_test-tableheader.pdf

You could use '-footer-right "Page [page] of [toPage]"' option to add page numbers to PDF pages. You need also use -webkit to instead of -webkit2 option, -webkit does support "thead" repeat feature.

We are trying to convert scanned pdfs/images(tiff/jpgs) to searchable pdf files

We are trying to convert scanned pdfs/images(tiff/jpgs) to searchable pdfs. Please provide better option to run in the command prompt. I tried pdf2txtocrcmd trail version, but not able to o 100% OCR and some strings are not searchable.

PDF to Text OCR Converter Command Line,
http://www.verypdf.com/app/pdf-to-text-ocr-converter/try-and-buy.html

Please find two images I am trying to convert to searchable pdfs.

I did two steps for the tif file,

1. Convert tiff to pdf

pdf2txtocr.exe -ocrmode 3 D:\Jhansi\pdf2txtocrcmd\test\testtif1.tif D:\pdf2txtocrcmd\test\out_testtif1_ocrmode3.pdf

2. Image pdf (output from the above step) to searchable PDF

pdf2txtocr.exe -ocr -ocrmode 1 -res 72 D:\pdf2txtocrcmd\test\out_testtif1_ocrmode3.pdf D:\pdf2txtocrcmd\test\ser_out_testtif1_ocrmode3.pdf

I followed similar process for jpeg file too.

Thanks,
Customer

Thanks for your sample files, we have researched your "testtif1.tif" file carefully, the OCR engine in pdf2txtocr.exe couldn't support this TIFF file very well.

However, the OCR engine in "VeryPDF OCR to Any Converter Command Line" works great for this TIFF file, you may download "VeryPDF OCR to Any Converter Command Line" from this web page to try,

http://www.verypdf.com/app/ocr-to-any-converter-cmd/try-and-buy.html#buy
http://www.verypdf.com/dl2.php/ocr2any_cmd.zip

after you download it, you could run following command line to convert testtif1.tif file to text file, Word and other documents,

ocr2any.exe -ocr2 D:\downloads\testtif1.tif D:\downloads\testtif1.txt

ocr2any.exe -ocr2 D:\downloads\testtif1.tif D:\downloads\testtif1.rtf

ocr2any.exe -ocr2 D:\downloads\testtif1.tif D:\downloads\testtif1.html

This is original TIFF file before OCR,

This is the Word document after OCR,

This is the plaintext file after OCR,
