I am a VeryPDF Split Merge software user and I bought the sever license.I expected to be able to write programming that could remotely submit jobs to it via command line (from remote workstation). When I use this method we get the watermark at bottom of PDF even if I have paid for it. Then I though maybe be the sever license could not be used for the remote operation. If you have met the situation, please read this article. I just want to help those who are new to this software and meet the same problem as me.
My first though for this matter is that I need a refund, because this sever license can not be used for remote operation then it will be useless for us. So I contact the VeryPDF company to consult this matter. At first, I was told that maybe I did not register successfully. When inputting the key with blanks space or download the wrong version, such as you download the trial version for end user version but you paid for server license, the registration will fail. So I feel alert and back to uninstall my downloaded version. I go to its website to download a new version and input the key code carefully. To my disappoint, I still can not use it for remote operation. It does not work for me, I get the watermark on everything I output. Then I sent the converted files and the command line I inputted to VeryPDF company, like veryPDF PDF Split-Merge v3.0\pdfpg.exe" split 2 "C:\Users\Desktop\test\webster.pdf" "C:\Users\Desktop\test\output\temp" . And I tell the support that “I am using for input and output is on my local machine get output split by 2 pages, but every page has watermark”.
Then I got a letter which settled my problems. I was told that “ pdfpg.exe will be load into client machine's RAM, it is not run from server's RAM, so you need purchase PDF Split-Merge Developer License, after you purchased PDF Split-Merge Developer License, you can run following command lines from client machines.” Then I run this software from sever RAM, I can use this software for the remote operation. In the letter, I also get the detail way for registration.
