Then you can start to split PDF content. Click Rule button to open the window like the one shown in Figure 2. In this window you can set the splitting rule. For example, you can click the content at any location and then the button Make it be the rule will appear besides the content. Click it and name the rule in the edit box besides Save Rule As button and then click the button to save the rule.

In the main interface of PDF Content Splitter for Mac, please choose the splitting rule in Rule Name spin box and set output directory in Output Folder edit box. In Split Method spin box, there are three kinds of methods for your choice:
- Split when the next page has different text in the specified position: The PDF file will be split when there is different content at the same location in next page.
- Split when the next page has text in the specified position: The PDF file will be split when there is the same content at the same location in next page.
- Use Method 1 and group pages containing the same text together: The PDF file will be split as method 1 and all split pages will be combined into one single PDF file.
At last, please click Split button and you just need to wait until the split work is over. The progress status will be shown at the bottom box like the one shown in Figure 3.
