How to decode barcode from PDF file and rename PDF file using barcode text?

I plan on purchasing this software and (somehow) installing it on my linux centos VPS and using it via PHP. Can you offer a suggestion on how to decode a Barcode from a PDF file and have PHP rename the file to the Barcode Text? Is this possible?

I tried it in Windows command line - and it successfully decoded a barcode from a pdf.
