Partial conversion in VeryPDF PDF to Word Converter

Hello -

I notice that if I open a document converted from a PDF file in Microsoft Word there is a progress bar in Word showing progress in converting the file.
This must mean that VeryPDF PDF-to-Word is converting the file to an intermediate form which Word then converts, not to genuine DOC files.

I have been trying fruitlessly to index "Doc" files made by VeryPDF PDF-to-Word in a third-party search engine (dtSearch) which apparently cannot read these DOC files. Another conversion program, however, can convert them to plaintext files. What is this intermediate form?

Hello -

I notice that your answer is identical to one that I received some time ago, relating to a different problem. You do not need to send me automated replies - they are no use to me.

I regret that I cannot send you confidential documents that do not belong to me.

My question related to how your software works so that I could understand my problem better. I assume that if VeryPDF PDF-to-Word Converter converts documents to an intermediate form you will know what form this is and can tell me. When I open the DOC file in a text editor or hex editor the text cannot be found. I assume that it contains instructions so that Microsoft Word can convert the PDF file. Is that correct?

pptconv image resolutions

We have a powerpoint file that has images in it.  It looks great in powerpoint, but after converting to flash the images are very poor quality.  Is there a way to preserve the image quality during conversion?  We are using version 3.0.  The powerpoint is set for 16x9 to match the display.  Here is the command line we are using:

pptconv -width 1366 -height 768 -swfanmi 1 -swfdelay 1 -swfloop 1 -swfloadbar 0 -swfctrolbar 0 c:\master.ppt c:\master.swf

Thanks.

PDFs not rendering correctly to EMF with the latest version of PDF2Vec

Dear VeryDoc,

I have a couple of PDFs that are not rendering correctly with the latest version of PDF2Vec. I will imagine that you would want them in order to be able to help (there is a spacing problem on one, and a character doesn't convert on the other). I Just wanted to make sure I was still eligible for support before I put a case together. If so I'll send the PDFs for input and the EMFs I got back. Thanks,

Greetings! Thanks for your prompt reply.

Here are the command lines I used to convert my sample files:
pdf2vec.exe "-$" "XXXXXXXXXXXXXX" C:\TEMP\pdf2vec\1350-v11-Jun.pdf 1350-.emf
pdf2vec.exe "-$" "XXXXXXXXXXXXXX"  C:\TEMP\pdf2vec\2501-AR-v10-Oct.BFI.PDF 2501-.emf

Note a command line of the following format (missing .emf) produces no output, nor error message:

pdf2vec.exe "-$" "XXXXXXXXXXXXXX"  C:\TEMP\pdf2vec\2501-AR-v10-Oct.BFI.PDF 2501-

I thought something was wrong. Just a usability thing.

The zip file includes directory listings of my pdf2vec dir & my fonts folder, the PDFs, the outputted EMFs, and screen shots of how it renders on my system (win XP Version 5.1.2600) using right-click|preview. On the 2501, it appears the font is being changed from our strange one, to arial, with clever compensations. That's OK for our output, but I'm unlikely to be able to get them to stop using their custom font. Also there are 200 other forms with various non-standard fonts, I am afraid some randomly won't convert right and I'll miss it.

Here is how the PDFs are created (I don't do this or have a mac/quark, info is from our print dept):
Mac OS 10
forms created in Quark Express
Print - to postscript
Open in distiller, make the PDF 'smallest file size with fonts' options

I'll send you anything else you want!!!  Thanks,

Lost Program of PPT2FLASH

I purchased a copy of your ppt2flash.exe in the early spring. At that time I was having an issue with a hacker attacking my computer and websites that I make. I have lost my confirming email and am not sure of the date of the purchase or the order number. All of my emails were lost. I am now able to work again and need to update a media sign using the pptflash.exe but I now no longer have access to the program or the download. I even purchased the download insurance, but the problem is that I have the information needed for your query online form, but I am unsure of the date that I purchased this program. Is there some way I can access this program that I purchased. Sincerely,

PDF to WMF/EMF converter

I'm looking to convert pdf files of graphics to emf or wmf files in vector format. I thought that PDF to Image converter could do this, but it seems to be converting it to a bit map format.

Is there an option or something that I am missing?

Thanks

======================
I am having a problem because the software is automatically adding a 'counter' to the end of the filename.

AvePrice - L19W FGUK.pdf becomes
AvePrice - L19W FGUK001.emf

I cannot see how to disable this?
======================
Because EMF file can't store multi-page format, so we have to append "001", "002", "003", etc. numbers to the output filenames.

If your PDF file is just contain one page, you can simple rename the output EMF filename by following command line,

Rename "AvePrice - L19W FGUK001.emf" "AvePrice - L19W FGUK.emf"

Then you can rename the output EMF file easily.
