How to print Web page from FireFox to PDF file?

In this article, I will introduce a method to use docPrint Pro to print Web page from FirePox to PDF, which mainly requires two steps:

Step 1: convert web page to PDF

There are various document converters available on the internet, here I suggest you to use docPrint Pro, which is an easy to use all-to-all document converter. If you don’t have one, you can download it at the following website: https://www.verypdf.com/.

1 Run docPrint Pro, select “Add URL” on the “File”’ menu

2 Then, input the URL into the edit box on the left of “Open”, and click “OK”.

3 Click “Setting”, and select the output format as “pdf”, then, click “OK”.

4 After setting the output format, Click “Start”.

And select a directory to save the PDF file. Again, don’t forget to click “OK”.

In a few minutes, the converted PDF file of the web page will automatically open. Now the conversion finished. Keep the PDF file open, and now let’s go to the next step.

Step 2: Print PDF file

1 Assuming your PDF file of the web page is opened by Adobe Reader, select “print” on the file menu. The panel of Print will prompt out.

2 select the printer connected to your computer, preset the options like “Print Range” and press “OK”. Then you can get a PDF file for the webpage.

How to convert a document of html to gif image?

GIF is the extension name of the Graphics Interchange Format, an image format that is extensively used on the Internet for its portability and various devices supports. The gif uses 8 bits of each pixel for up to 256 distinct colors. There is an attractive feature that the gif format supports animations with up to 256 colors for every frame. Though the low color quality of gif makes the format unpopular in photograph usage where high image quality is needed, the format is widely used for displaying and sharing simple images on the Internet.

Here is a method of converting a document of html to gif image with VeryPDF HTML Converter Command Line. In your MS-DOS command prompt window, you can achieve the conversion by typing the commands below:

D:\htmltools\htmltools.exe D:\htmltools\Verypdf.html D:\htmltools\Verypdf.gif <Enter>.

“D:\htmltools\htmltools.exe” calls the conversion tool, “D:\htmltools\Verypdf.html” indicates the path and name of the source document of html and “D:\htmltools\Verypdf.gif” specifies the path “D:\htmltools\”, the name “Verypdf” and the target format “gif” for the conversion from html to gif.

The office documents are always created in many kinds of language,English,French,Chinese,German,Spanish,Japanese,etc.But when we print these files of different language,is it supported by the printer?Can these documents printed smoothly?

1.Press the hot  key “Ctrl”+”P”or click “file”—“print”.

2.Change some parameter in properties according to need by clicking “advanced”—“preferences”.Of course we should click”font embedding”to subset the fonts used in the original file.If you don’t know what it is and don’t care about the size of created file you can embed entire fonts.I added the fonts about Chinese not all.

3.Print and save the file.

At last,we can see the pdf file is created smoothly in Chinese by PDFcamp Printer,so I think the answer to the question in the topic is surely “yes”!

What is embedding fonts?

If you embed the entire font in the PDF, it means the person who reads it can browse it and also can change it if he or she has the Acrobat or some other software without the same fonts used in the file in the computer.Of course,the size of the file will be bigger because the whole fonts have been embedded in.But I think it’s not very scientific to embed entire fonts just for only a few even one kind of font,which makes the file size more bigger.

What is subsetting fonts?

So subsetting fonts come out.If you subset the font, the person can not browse or change it freely except there being the same fonts you used in your file in his or her computer.Of course,the file size will be smaller as you only embedded the font you used.

In another words,font embedding means a big file size,font subsetting means a smaller file size,while no font embedding means the smallest file size.

In software PDFcamp Printer,of course you can embed font or subset font when you print documents to pdf files.

1.Open a file you want to print and click”file”—“print”.

2.Set parameter in properties.You should click ”font embedding” in which you can subset fonts you use or embed the whole fonts.Click “ok”.

3.Save and print the file.

How to convert a document of html to eps format?

EPS, Encapsulated PostScript, is an excellent image format for storing images in postscript language. EPS files are widely used by publishers for high resolution printing, and friendly to typesetting because applications can use the description information in an EPS file to layout the page even if the image of the EPS can not be displayed exactly. An EPS file is generally self-contained containing all the description in PostScript language for needed objects, data and texts.

There are two steps for you to convert a document of html to eps format.

Step 1: converting the document of html to ps format with the VeryPDF HTML Converter Command Line using the following commands:

D:\htmltools\htmltools.exe D:\htmltools\Verypdf.html D:\htmltools\Verypdf.ps <Enter>,

of which “D:\htmltools\htmltools.exe” call the conversion tool, “D:\htmltools\htmltools.html” delivers the name and path of the source html document, and “D:\htmltools\Verypdf.ps” specifies the path “D:\htmltools\”, the name “Verypdf”, and the format “ps” for the output image in the conversion from html to ps.

Step 2: converting the converted file of ps to eps file using the software GSview:

Step 2.1, open the converted image of ps, Verypdf.ps, by GSview

Step 2.2, convert the ps file to eps using the GSview converting function using the following graphical instructions:

    Step 2.2.1, choose “Convert…” in the “File” menu of the GSview

    Step 2.2.2, set the parameters for converting ps to eps in the popup dialogue window: 1, choose “epswrite” in the “Device” list; 2, choose “Shrink to fit Page Size” in the dropdown list box; 3, set the resolution to a higher dpi (600 suggested for this case) in the “Resolution” input box; 4, press “Ok” button

Step 3, save the eps file with GSview: 1, input the name you want in the popup “Output Filename” window; 2, press “Save” button

Now you have finished converting your document of html to eps. Here is reminder that the eps image converted by GSview is bitmaped with vector feature lost during the process of converting ps to eps.
