Converting non-searchable to searchable PDFs in many subfolders using OCR software

Hello - I'm looking to convert all PDFs in a large folder structure to searchable PDFs prior to migrating to Sharepoint.

Can very PDF do this and leave all other files, word, excel, etc as is and all files in their current folder structure?

after you download it, you can run following command line to batch convert all PDF files in a folder and its sub folders to searchable PDF files recursively,

You can use a few folders for test purpose first, once you feel OK with OCR result, you can backup the larger folder first, run above command line to OCR all PDF files in your larger folder, after process is finished, and everything is OK with searchable PDF files, you can delete the backup folder, this method will be safer for you.

Virtual Printer Driver – No text contents in PDF files when Printing from "Google Chrome" and "Microsoft Edge"

Typically, printing applications such as MS Word and Notepad are use the text output command to output text contents. In this case, the print job contains text and the output PDF file will contain text contents too.

Unfortunately, some applications render text in an internal buffer during printing and output it as a bitmap image. For example, this is how Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge browsers work.

If you print HTML, TEXT, or PDF documents from Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge browsers, the print job will contain bitmap output commands instead of text contents. The virtual printer cannot extract text from this print job because it does not contain text contents at all. So you can't search text in the generated PDF documentation, if you use VeryPDF PDF to Text Converter software to convert this PDF file to text file, the resulting .txt file will be empty.

However, the FireFox browser will print the contents of your file as text. This can help you troubleshoot printing problems.

Hello,

I am developer and searching for a HTML5 PDF annotation tool, which should be able to,

1. be customized to a reduced UI (we only need drawing, erasing drawings and saving documents)
2. is able to run as an embedded frame in another HTML5 web application
3. can load and save documents from our web-servers local file-system or a webdav server

Our solution is designed as a JavaScript web application where a document ID is entered by the user, sends a REST-API call to the server which provides the document as a file on it's local file-system, allows the user to annotate the PDF file and copies the annotated PDF file back when clicking a save button - also triggered by a REST API call.

Is this possible by integrating VeryPDF HTML5 PDF Annotation?
