Convert Office to PDF by command line

If you have Office 2010 on your computer, converting a document created by Office to PDF is pretty simple. For example, if the source document is a Word document, you can use Office Word to open the document first and then save it as a PDF file.

Third, type a command line on the command prompt window. To know what should be included in your command line, you should first take a look at the basic usage of  doc2pdf.exe. Type the path of it on the command prompt window and press Enter. Then the information will be displayed on the command prompt window. The usage is as follows:

doc2pdf [options] <-i Document Files> [-o Output]

For example, if you want to convert all the Excel in the root folder on disk D to PDF files, and export the output files to disk E, you can type a command similar to the following:

“C:\docPrint Pro v5.0\doc2pdf.exe” -i D:\*.xls -o E:\*.pdf

  • “C:\docPrint Pro v5.0\doc2pdf.exe”—the path of the executable file
  • -i D:\*.xls—input all the XLS files stored in the root folder on disk D.
  • -o E:\*.pdf—the output format is PDF. Export the output files into the root folder on disk D.
