Convert PowerPoint to XPS by command line

Why don’t you try VeryPDF Document Converter? It is the most powerful document converter I have ever used. You can use it to convert any printable files to PDF file and more than 100 image formats. Besides, it provided a command line version and as GUI version.

Document Converter is also named docPrint Pro. This is because it is the advanced version of Document Printer, which is abbreviated as docPrint. You can download the command line version of Document Converter from the homepage of Document Printer. Or you can just click VeryPDF Document Converter (CMD) to download it. After you install the command line version of Document Converter on the computer, please take two steps to convert PowerPoint to XPS by command line.

1. Open the command prompt window

I am a Window XP user, so I would like to show you how to open the command prompt window under XP: open up the Start menu by clicking Start at the button of the screen, and then click Command Prompt. When you see the command prompt window pops out, please proceed to the second step.

2. Use the command line application

To call the command line application and use it to convert PowerPoint to XPS, you need to type a command line in the command prompt window. This command line must be in line with the usage of the executable file.

Usage: doc2pdf [options] <-i Document Files> [-o Output]

To help you better understand the usage, some examples are provided as follows. The first three examples can be used to convert different types of PowerPoint files from one to one. The last example can convert all PPT files in the root folder on disk E to XPS files.

  • "C:\docPrint Pro v5.0\doc2pdf.exe" -i C:\in.ppt -o D:\out.xps
  • "C:\docPrint Pro v5.0\doc2pdf.exe" -i D:\in.pptx -o D:\out.xps
  • "C:\docPrint Pro v5.0\doc2pdf.exe" -i C:\in.pptm -o D:\out.xps
  • "C:\docPrint Pro v5.0\doc2pdf.exe" -i E:\*.ppt -o D:\*.xps

This is the method you can employ to convert PowerPoint to XPS by command line. Since Document Converter can be used free for scores of times, why not use it to convert more types of files right away? If you want to see more input formats and output formats, or options that you can use to set output properties, please type the directory of the executable file in the command prompt window and press Enter.
