                                                                            Figure1.

It seems to be a little complex to understand Figure1 which shows the whole converting process of emf to tga.But this article and explain it to you for your better understanding.

There are four dialog boxes in Figure1.The first one is the software used in the conversion of emf to tga,the second dialog shows the source file. The third one shows the converting platform while the last one shows the result.

The first dialog box:You can see the software to convert emf to tga format in this dialog box, which is called HTML Converter Command Line.It is a kind of converting software which allows you to create previews or thumbnails of web pages in a number of different formats, such as TIF, TIFF, JPG, JPEG, GIF, PNG, BMP, PCX, TGA, JP2 (JPEG2000), PNM, etc. It also allows you to convert web pages to PDF, PS (postscript), WMF, EMF vector formats. You can download HTML Converter Command Line at https://www.verypdf.com/htmltools/htmltools.zip. After you installing the software in your computer, you can see an executable file named htmltools.exe appears which is framed in the dialog. It is the called program file in the conversion of emf to tga, also the core of HTML Converter Command Line.

The second dialog box:The dialog box contains the source file which you want to convert from emf to tga format file.

The third dialog box:You should click “start”—“run” and input “cmd” in “open” edit box, then click “OK” button to run cmd.exe dialog box showed in Figure1.The hot key “Windows”+ “R” can also open the dialog, too. Then input the command line which contains called program, parameter, source file and target file.

"C:\Documents and Settings\admin\Local Settings\Temp\htmltools\htmltools.exe" -bitcount 24 "C:\Program Files\docPrint Pro v5.0\blank.emf" blank.tga  is the example about converting emf to tga format file.

"C:\Documents and Settings\admin\Local Settings\Temp\htmltools\htmltools.exe"  is the path of htmltools.exe.You can drag the file into cmd.exe dialog box and the file will turn to the directory itself. Please see the longest arrow in Figure1.

-bitcount 24  is the value of bit depth which is set as 24.Of course, you can set it as 1 and 8.

"C:\Program Files\docPrint Pro v5.0\blank.emf"  is the path of source file. You can drag the file into cmd.exe dialog box, too. Please see the shortest arrow.

blank.tga  is the name of target file. You should not forget the extension name .tga,or the source file will be converted to pdf file automatically.

Then we can get a conclusion about the structure of the command line:

htmltools.exe –bitcount value “input.emf” output.tga

The last dialog box:The rectangle in the third dialog box shows the directory of target file and you can find the file in the last dialog box according to the rectangle in the third dialog box.
