VeryPDF Command Line paper source

I am using the -papersource command line option to specify the tray for a specific print job. I ran into the exact problem outlined here:

https://www.verypdf.com/wordpress/201107/question-about-pdfprint-tray-selection-ok-1420.html

The account that is executing pdfprint.exe is a Local Administrator on the server but the correct tray is not chosen. The problem only seems to go away when I grant EVERYONE full control permissions on the printer. I do not want to do this as it has negative security implications.

Please advise.
Thanks,
Customer

Thanks for your message, in order to change the paper source, you need give Full Control permission to Everyone user account to the target Windows Printer, you can also create a new user account for "printing" only, such as "SysPrint" user account, give Full Control permission to "SysPrint" user account to the target Windows Printer, and run pdfprint.exe from this "SysPrint" user account instead of Local System user account to print your PDF files, then you can call pdfprint.exe to print your PDF file to correct paper source properly.

In this case, "SysPrint" user account is own full control permission to the target Windows Printer.
