What is the difference between PDFPrint Command Line and PDFPrint SDK products? How can I call PDFPrint Command Line or PDFPrint SDK from Java code?

Dear Support:

We are looking for a solution to print PDF to the printer without user activity got involved. We believe your PDFPrint Command Line is the exactly what we need.

A few questions we hope to get clarify before we purchase and hope to get your kindly support

1, as below URL, there is no SDK for Java. we are using the java coding, do you have Java SDK or we just call your command line directly?

https://www.verypdf.com/app/pdf-print-cmd/pdfprint-sdk-manual.html

2, if you do not have Java SDK available, then we use Java to call the PDFPrint Command Line directly, then we should buy "PDFPrint Command Line" license at $199 or we need buy the SDK license at $299?

3, what's the different between using SDK and using call "Command Line directly"?

4, Our PDF is 100 pages, when it going to print, we need P1---5 using the printer tray1, P6------P20 using the printer tray3, and rest page use printer tray2.

We noticed there is option -chgbin to select the different tray. Certainly, we can run pdfprint.exe three time in this case, each time, select different page with setup the different tray. But there is a concern that the print output will be mixed when multiple current users access printer at the same time.

So do you have suggestions to how to achieve this requirement? Do you support setup different tray for different page range in one printer job?

Many thanks for your support and best Regards.

You can call PDFPrint Command Line from Java code to print PDF file easily.

We have also a PDFPrint COM (pdfprintcom.exe) included in PDFPrint SDK version, you can call this COM from Java code to print PDF file.

These two solutions will all work fine for you.

These two solutions are all okay, you can choose either one.

If you want to call Command Line, you can choose $199 version.
If you want to call PDFPrint COM from Java, you can choose $299 version.

Command Line can be called by CreateProcess() function, you can run it by manual too.

SDK/COM can't be run by manual in CMD window, you can only call it from your source code to get it work.

Yes, you will need to run pdfprint.exe three times, pdfprint.exe is can only choose one tray in one printing job, if you wish print PDF file to more trays, you will need to run pdfprint.exe more times.
